Carolina #1 in Peter King's rankings, accompanied by quality analysis

How you score DOES NOT MATTER.

I don't care if we  ONLY score off of pick 6's and scoop-and-score fumble returns. I don't care if the offense doesn't generate a single scoring drive the rest of the season as long as we win each game. Honestly, don't care.

This is a team game. You have to win all three phases of the game to be dominant.

Our offense moves the ball enough to at least chew clock on more drives than not. We either get points or field position swing each drive. I can't complain.

Our defense generates turnovers, gets pressure, makes solid tackles, and minimizes the big play. Love it.

Our special teams has been solid, for the most part. Great in coverage at times, at least good most of the time. Return units are both average, but improving each week.

Yeah, we're fine. 12-0 is what we need to be this time next week. Every game is the Super Bowl, boys.

Welcome to the Carolina Panthers' believers, Peter King. You're one of the National Media to jump on board this growing group and he recognizes that this 11-0 Panthers team is  good on both the offense and defense. He also recognizes the coaches  including Coach Shula and his relationship with Cam.

What I really enjoyed was this where he discussed Cam's personality on and off the field and his love for the game:

Carolina hasn’t tried to change his personality, and that is smart. I ask you this: If a player does everything right off the field—in the meeting rooms, in the locker room, prepared as football-nerd coaches like Rivera would demand, never providing reason for worry away from the facility—then why would you be remotely upset if he play-acted to his heart’s desire on the field? It’s who he is. He hands touchdown footballs to children, giving them the thrill of a lifetime. Just so long as he’s not showing up the opposition, why change him? “I would never want to change his personality,” says offensive coordinator Mike Shula. “I know him. He loves to win. He loves to perform. He loves to have fun. And he wants his fans to have fun. Sometimes I think we need to remind ourselves that football is fun, and when we have fun and we’re winning, we’re happy.”
