Who doubted Jonathan Stewart potential Production this year?

I'll raise my hand on this on this one. I truly doubted if  JStew had anything left and this preseason the young prospects showed promise. Jstew is rank third in rushing yards behind AP and the dude from tampa. Big ups...To JStew...I'm sorry i ever doubted.

most everybody. That's the MOof most fans, that if they feel a player hasn't "earned" his contract, they write him of, and start wishing he was gone.

Stew has always been a talented runner that runs hard.

In the end, does it really matter that the majority doubt him? All it proves is that most fans don't know nearly as much as they think they do.

I never doubted Stewart. I always thought he should start over Deangelo, and I think beginning in 2012 (had he not continuously been tackled at the knees in the open field) the role should've been much like Deangelo was doing before Bell was injured.

He has always shown to get better as the season goes on and really gets better later in the game. He is the definition of an NFL runningback and is one of the top blocking running backs in football. When we are playing 3 vs. 7 on 3rd down (3 receivers versus 7 men in coverage) its imperative that Cam has time. Stew and Tolbert are a big reason Cam has enough time in those situations.

He is a complete back and if casual fans cared about anything other than statistics, he would be a Pro Bowl player.

He's the very definition of a hard runner breaking so many tackles, and he's on pace for about 1100 yards or so. He hasn't been ripping off home run plays but by god there have been any number of plays where he fights for extra yards .

Before the season I thought IF he wasn't going to get injured he would have a productive year. He's always been hard nose runner known for breaking tackles and that hasn't really changed.

Its funny how some people are already talking like he's old. Dude is 28 and he split carries with deangelo or was out injured for a long time. Dude should be fresh for at least a good 3 to 4 more years if he can avoid getting injured anyway.

Dwill's doing really well in pittsburgh too.

- Fun Fact: Jstew is now in the top 100 rushing yard leaders of all time. #98 ..

doubting his "potential" production? He's not a rookie. We know what Stew can do. I think it was more about doubting how healthy he would be. That has been a valid concern since he got here. And it will be a valid concern as long as he stays here.

Now if he gets hurt this week... I'm going to come back and blame this thread.

I fully expected him to have a good year. You never know with injuries but I didn't assume he was more prone to injuries than any other player. Deangelo Williams is also healthy and playing well. These things are just out of anyone's control.

Out of control, using next gen stats more, or consulting with sports doctors to keep this from happening again? I think it's more of the last two

Gotta give props to a huddler for calling it....can't remember who it was but that annoying get rid of Willliams guy totally nailed it.  Cut Williams and BOOM.....11-0 and on our way to the greatest season in franchise history.
