don't worry guys I have a lot of personal experience being called clueless by MadHatter, yet I always end up being right

but TBH I have no idea what a DVOA is, so he can call me clueless about that and he'd be right.

CWG...you are rarely right about ANYTHING.  Just because you keep telling yourself you are right, it does not make it so.

The only experience you have with me is me constantly making you my bitch.

You are the George Castanza of the huddle.

see how that works? he's even wrong about this

There you go again...you are never right no matter how hard you wish it to be true.

go back to the tinderbox so you can debate how other lazy underachievers deserve more than they have.

They may make the playoffs but this big recovery included 2 wins against the 49ers and a Romo less Dallas squad. The only quality win they have had since we spanked that butt was against the Steelers.  Let's see what happens against Minnesota and Arizona. If they spank both of them then they are a real contender. But if they lose both and limp in at 9-7, color me unimpressed.

Agree with the OP, well slightly, I think the Cardinals are 1a and Seattle is 1b.

The Cardinals offense is better but Seattle's has a superior defense. I think the Seahawks defense would give us the most difficult challenge in the playoffs. They can rush the passer without blitzing and they have the 2nd best defensive backfield in the NFC outside of the Panthers this year. The Cardinals defense is good but it's predicated on blitzing and that can be exploited.

I don't want to hear about what Pittsburgh did to them, The Steelers have maybe by far the best receiving core in the league, Antonio Brown is the best all around receiver and Bryant and Wheaton are two young, tall, fast receivers with AJ Green like potential, plus Ben throws the best deep ball in the league.

I know Cam walked two 80 yard drives in the 4th to beat the Seahawks at home, but key word walked, Big Ben was throwing bombs all over the Seattle with those wideouts.

Now with that said Carolina has a much better defense and running game than the Steelers, so in no way do I see Seattle coming into Charlotte and putting up a whole alot of points against this defense. Especially now that Russell Wilson has literally lost his biggest target in Graham and who knows when Lynch will be back.

I think the Cardinals can be had though, don't get me wrong they're good, especially if they can get the big plays, but I don't think that offense can methodically march down the field especially if they can't get that running game going, I think they're hit and miss ie: 49ers game.

There's also the Vikings and Green Bay from the NFC North but those two teams are a notch below in my opinion. You can never count out Aaron Rodgers though.

Have to disagree.  Yes, the Seahaws are 4-1 in their last five games.  However, 2 of those wins were against the GOD AWFUL San Francisco 49ers (one game where they had Blaine Gabbert as their QB)...one win came against the Cowboys led by MAtt Cassell (ugh)...and the last came against a Pitt team that could not cover a single WR on the field.  They lost to the only good team they played....Arizona.

They may sneak in to the playoffs, but this little stretch they have had does NOT even remotely show any sort of real improvement.

They've rebounded impressively from their 2-4 start and with the Bucs/Falcons faltering, look to be in very good position for a Wildcard.

Because of playoff rules, could very easily be playing them in the Divisional game.

As it stands right now, they would play the Vikings in the wildcard game. I think that the vikings are better, their D is stout, and # 28 is running the hell out of the ball (sound like any other team else you know?) We get a preview of this matchup Sunday, and I hope the Vikes destroy them.

Gentlemen, THE most important regular season game not involving the Panthers is going to happen this weekend:  Minny hosting Seattle.

Let's get a few things out of the way before I explain.  One, the NFC East "champion" is cannon fodder in the playoffs and no matter who finishes as the 5th seed Wild Card, are going to get creamed.

Two, we match up with Minnesota really, really well.  No defense is better suited to bottle up AD than us, and Teddy doesn't have the receivers or the ability to beat us.  We get them in the divisional, and we'll be huge, huge favorites to host the NFCCG.  Truth is, Minny is overrated as a team, benefiting from catching teams at the right time and a rather weak schedule.  They will not be winning the NFC North, not after tonight.  As a WC team, they are the most realistic dream matchup for us in the opening playoff game.

However, the ONLY team that Minny is capable of beating from the division winners is going to be the NFC East chumps, err, champs.  They are inferior to us, Arizona, and certainly Green Bay.  So the ONLY way we are going to see them in the divisional is if they finish with the 5th seed.

That seed will basically be decided this Sunday, when they host the Seattle Seahawks.  Seattle has a WEAK schedule going forward, playing some absolute dogs like a dumpster fire Browns team, the haggard and injury riddled Ravens, and a Rams team with a non-starting caliber QB and a coach on the verge of getting fired. Think of them as a nine win team, with road games at Minny and Arizona to determine where they finish.  Minny, on the other hand, needs all the help they can get.  After Sunday, they still have to play the packers, cardinals, which are both high probability losses, and definitely teams they can lose to in the Giants and Chicago.

That's why this matchup will basically decide everything.  If Minny can scrape a win at home -- and even at home they don't seem to be favored -- that puts them a 9 wins with only needing to beat one of the giants or bears to almost certainly secure that 5th seed, not to mention the tiebreaker over Seattle if they both finish with the same amount of wins, almost forcing Seattle to win out.  But if they lose, Seattle almost assuredly gets that 5th seed, because at that point Minny would need to win out to guarantee they finish a game ahead of Seattle.  And if Minny gets that 6th seed, go ahead and write them off right now because they are NOT beating the Packers in Green Bay in the WC round.

And on the other side?  Seattle goes in to whatever crap team won the NFC East and stomps them, setting up the 2nd best team in the NFC with a huge amount of momentum that we'd have to face in our FIRST GAME in the playoffs, not a scenario we want to be in compared to a much, much easier matchup with the Vikings.

That, ladies and Gentleman, is what is at stake this Sunday.
