2 questions about a possible NFC Championship Game in Charlotte

1. Let's say we're playing a team with a big fan base like the Packers or the Giants. Do you expect the stadium will be 95%+ Panthers fans like it should be or do you think PSL owners would choose to cash out yet again even when there's literally no bigger game that can be played in that stadium using those PSLs and we'd see a ton of Packers or Giants there?

And on a related note...

2. How much do you think tickets would be going for on Stubhub if you're not one of the lucky few that manage to get tickets through Ticketmaster in the 15 seconds they'll be available for?

Now that I'm done being a douche, I say if we're still undefeated ALL PSL owners retain their tickets or sell to Panthre fans.

Our crowds were legit back in 08, people seem to forget that we were undefeated at home in 2008 until................. Never mind. FACK! That just ruined my night

I've been lucky enough to have been to every Panther home playoff game except for Dallas '96.

Our fans show up for playoff games. Especially a team this special with a possibly undefeated season and the Super Bowl on the line.

Even Dallas in '03, with all their bandwagon fans, were only maybe 10% of the crowd.

Tickets will be expensive as fug. The divisional playoff game will probably run $200 or more for uppers, with the Championship game possibly $300-400 for the same seat. Just look at how expensive regular season games are in ticket exchange right now to get the idea.

Redskin, Packer, and everyone else were able to buy so many tickets this spring/summer before regular season started, when many PSL holders thought we would be mediocre again. Playoffs won't be like regular season with 20-30% opposing fans, probably less than 10%.

You can also get a last wave of tickets 15 minutes after they are sold out. A lot of tickets get kicked back after the first 15 minutes due to them being locked by the first person that tried to get them but didnt have the money/system error. Thats how I got mine in 2013 at face value against San Fran.

1) Some PSL owners view their season tickets first and foremost as an economic investment.  As some people pointed out, they will sell tickets before the season even starts, which accounts for the large number of opposing fans when we play teams with large fan bases.  As for the playoff games, there a lot of variables.  PSL owners are entitled to their tickets.  A think (and want to believe) a larger percentage of PSL owners would rather go to a playoff game than sell them, but it definitely varies from PSL owner to owner.  Last year, there was probably less than 5% Cardinals fans at the game, but the Cardinals fans knew their chances of winning were very low with a 3rd string QB.  There were a lot more Cardinals fans in 2008 with Warner (I'm guessing at least 20%).  There may have been close to 25% 49ers fans in 2013.  When PSL owners put their their tickets on the secondary market, there is no control over who gets them, other than who will pay the most money.  I cringe to think of what the opposing fans may consist of if we play the Giants or Packers in the divisional round, which is a very realistic possibility.

2) There is about a 25% markup on Divisional Round Games and roughly a 100% markup for the NFCCG if we were to host it.  This is from the Panthers/NFL before any markup from the secondary market.  So yeah, expensive as fug.  I'd bank on paying minimum $100-120 for the divisional game and over $200 for the NFCCG (and it could be way more than if you want good seats).

**Side note, I have my PSL tickets, but just like the person above, I was able to get a 2nd set last year by continuing to try well after they said they were sold out b/c some of the tickets were kicked back by the people trying to hold them**

    • I am glad we didn't start off really good and fissile out like past regimes. The struggle with Bryce and the benching was just what everybody needed. Look at Stroud and teams like the Giants with Daboll's first year, they surprise everyone and then they can't live up to expectations the following year(s). We looked at Canales and this team as hopeful and saw the struggles from day one. A HC learning on the fly how to be "the leader". A team who had no identity trying to find one in the midst of losing, even benching our #1 draft pick. But having most (fans and media) look past the Panthers as the worst was probably the breather, the space they needed to actually get better. Nobody really cared what or how the Panthers were doing. If we beat KC and/or the Eagles the expectations would have been high again. But playing better, very competitive (without winning) gave the team traction to evaluate the players, make mistakes and not be jumped on by fans and media. We weren't going to playoffs this year and by some chance we slipped in, we would have been a quick out with super high expectations next year. Now, we all just look for continued progress. The team is finding its identity while flying under the radar. The next 2 games with even more injuries, there shouldn't be expectations of winning, just play hard and let's see what the players got. The more the back ups learn the system, the more the system proves it just needs decent players to play within it and not necessarily all to be stars.  You can't help but feel Canales, Morgan, Tillis and even Tepper are on the same page. The NFL is not easy and it takes a lot of moving parts to win. A few really good parts and a lot of decent parts working together, FO to the back ups. The future looks bright, how bright? As long as it gradually gets brighter and doesn't die out, we could have a consistently winning team that always has a shot for the playoffs. That's what a winning organization looks like. Look at the many great examples of coaches and FO turning a perennial loser into a winner. It takes time and the right mix of people. That I believe we have.
    • Lol. Right. I am the emotional one. I make one sentence and one meme gif and you write a novella on how upset you are that I don't see the logic(nor does the coaching staff) in playing a lot of these 5th string players. Keep in mind this is in a season in which PS players have started multitudes of games. Think maybe, IDK, there could be a logical reason for that? No, no, I am sure you are much more equipped than an NFL coaching staff that sees these players every single day of practice for months on end to determine PT for literally guys barely hanging on to a roster spot behind your keyboard.  Carry on keyboard warrior!
    • That is exactly what they are doing.  No timeline yet on Brooks, and Chuba is their workhorse.  If he blows out a knee during these last 2 meaningless games, we' d have to draft or sign a top RB to start next season.
