On a somewhat related note, why exactly was Josh flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct late in the game after and endzone pass attempt by Dallas?  I don't recall the replay showing anything, and it appeared that he ran out of the back corner of the end zone.

i don't think that ever got explained. i'm guessing he said something unrepeatable too close to a ref.

It was said that he did Dez's "X"  thing to the crowd.

Rivera said he didn't think it should've been a penalty and asked the refs about it and they told him it was because it was in Dallas, which Rivera said he understood. That's bullsh*t to me. A penalty is a penalty wherever it occurs, and that was a bullsh*t call. Just glad the game was already out of hand by then.

I would be mad if Coleman fumbled and we were a man down to recover it because he was too busy talking to notice what was happening on the play.

Honestly IMO he was so far from that play he would have literally no impact after the pick, unless he immediately started downfield with Coleman.

But your point is valid.

Half empty, huh? I get it, but he didn't fumble. I looked at it like this. I'm pretty sure the Dallas players/coaches didn't like to see Dez taken out of the play that way. That's where the anger is. IF was a fifth, we'd be more drunk! Happy Holidays!!

Goes both ways. If Coleman fumbled then Dallas would've been down a man as well to recover it, effectively negating Norman's absence.

Now if it was JUST Norman sitting back there yapping to nobody in particular, sure. However, to be mad about that without looking at the totality of the situation seems a little irrational.

Then again, anger isn't exactly a rational emotion :P

I love the trash talking. It has Art of War all over it.

Move your opponent from a state of harmony and clear thinking to a state of disharmony and clouded thinking. Make Dez think more about saving his pride as a top WR than working in the offensive gameplan.

If your opponent is angry, irritate him. Dez got worked up and wasn't seeing the field clearly, wasn't in tune with Romo, so Romo had to start throwing to Williams and Witten underneath. Right into Kurt and Luke's hands.
