Been a lurker this season, big fan since Delhomme/Davis, and decided to create an account because of this thread. Not sure why people want to call OP a troll or have him banned. It's a legitimate question that, if nothing else, should provide some perspective to our fans.

It's common for fans to get carried away with consistent success or failure. If the playoffs started next week, I would want/expect a Super Bowl appearance. But we have a long ways to go before 16-0 or 19-0 and we all know a crappy team can surprise the league any given week. A NFCCG, in my opinion, should still be something to celebrate right now. But I don't think I could say the same if we do reach 16-0. We seem to be getting ahead of ourselves ... but we're fans and we don't have to take it one game at a time. Still doesn't make this a troll attempt.

As a completely unrelated side note, I was bummed out when we didn't keep Will Witherspoon back in the day. Just been wanting to get that off my chest for the last decade.

Cant help but LOL. 1st Page one was all about "dont feed the trolls" in nifty gifs and such. 4 pages later the same people are still throwing out food. :)

 

Anything better than last year is enough for me. 3 years in a row Division Champ is awesome, and I'd be happy to make it to the final championship. As good as we are, I dont believe we are complete enough yet to seriously consider a SB win. Can we get there and possibly win? Yes! Id prefer we there this year and win than later.  After this season, the "diva" in our players and fanbase will come out. Id rather win when we were the hungry team that noone looked at, rather than come back next season with KB, but a crapload of hype and expectations

If we lost to Arizona in a hard fought NFCCG I would get over it.  Losing to any other team there would be awful.

Honestly I think losing int he SB would be more disappointing than the Arizona scenario because I think with all the Pats injuries that all the teams over there are inferior to the Cardinals.  They are our toughest competition IMO
