Just winning takes care of business, besides ya think rooting for a team will change fate?

I think this week more than any this thread is relevant since we're not even playing and there are still five more weeks to play.

Seattle should already be dead by the way and the Lions should be in the hunt if not for the rob job on MNF.  They will also get Baltimore without Flacco and play an unfathomable number of backup QBs this season.  I can't say it enough-Go Steelers.

You are both wrong lol.

we have 11 wins we play the saints next week a win next week plus a Falcons loss either this week or next week clinches the division....

12-4 (worst possible record with 12 wins)

the buccaneers best possible record is 11-5

the Falcons are 6-4 so one more loss coupled win clinches.

If the Panthers lose out, and the Falcons win their non-Panther games, the Falcons will win the division, even if they lose to the Vikings this weekend. Long shot, yes. But technically the Falcons are still alive if they win the next two games.

With a Bucs loss this weekend, they are eliminated. The Saints were eliminated by virtue of our win on Thursday.

To clinch, we need the Falcons to lose 2 more games. Or we can clinch by beating them in 3 weeks.

Anyone ok with Seattle being in the playoffs needs to give their head a shake. No one wants to see Seattle in the playoffs regardless of their record. Give me a Tampa win this weekend so they can possibly jump in front of Seattle.

Go Steelers and Go Niners.

I'd also rather see Minnesota win the North so I have a real reason to go check out their new stadium next season plus I don't want to see GB in the playoffs either

two Falcons losses clinches....

True. You're right. Apologies.

That said, the Falcons will play two games before we play our next one since our game was flexed to 4:30. It's very possible that we will have the NFC South sinched up by the time we take the field in the Superdome. Just need the Bucs to lose to the Colts, and the Falcons to lose to the Vikes and Bucs next week.

You said that ATL plays TB next week. They don't. I'm totally done

Are you trying to troll? For real man... Atl plays the Vikings tomorrow. Then next week they play Tampa Bay...

I look at New Orleans as this week for us, but most would look at it as next week. No biggie. Main point was that ATL doesn't play TB at all like @Upstate said

Now I see where the confusion is coming from. Look I'm sorry for fighting you man, but do yourself a favor and go to NFL.com or ESPN and tell me how many times ATL and Tampa have played already this season. Remember that they always play each other twice.

To reiterate, we need Seattle to lose tomorrow, along with either Atlanta or Tampa (preferably both to set us up to clinch the division next week). Meaningless banter about SOS is fun and all, but punching our ticket to the playoffs in week 11 is funner.

Outside of that, root against Cards for less stress and Pats for bragging rights.

The only reason I don't want to see Seattle is because of Wilson's bullshit miracle throws that get completed at too high a rate. But I think we're a different team this year and can handle them pretty easily in the playoffs.

Why the hell would we need Seattle to.lose to clinch our division?

Nothing to do with it.

If Atlanta lose in either week 12 or 13 and we win in week 13 we'll be 12-0 and at best Atlanta will be 7-5. So at worst we could then go 12-4 and at best they could go 11-5.

So to reiterate correctly: If Atlanta lose tomorrow we play to clinch the division in New Orleans next week. That's it. No other what-ifs, just Atlanta lose tomorrow (or win tomorrow and lose against the Bucs - I think it is next week - but then we won't know til 4pm Sunday).
