also, no one really talks much about our reverse handoffs to Ginn that even though we run it once a game or every couple of games, it almost always moves the chains.

They did it a few times with Brown last year too, guess they only keep it to once or so a game because otherwise teams would get wise to it, I think Green Bay did the other week and it was a big loss on the play, think it's best used as like a surprise play

I understand the posts saying we aren't the greatest run team but if being the only team that runs more than it throws isn't run first than nothing is. It takes a lot of attempts to get our yards but we are committed to it.

The main reason for this; because the Panthers always have the lead.

However, it's usually NOT the running game that gets them those leads. It's because of this very reason why many think it's not a true "Run First" team as the media wants us to believe (and what it represents).

Plus, as others have said earlier: Anytime the Panthers have tried to make this a traditional "run first", smash mouth attack, the Panthers RB's, and/or OL has failed at it.

Of course, it's easy to "pound the ball (for 1, 2, even 4-6 yards)" when you have a 14 pt lead and the oppositions tired or embarrassed.
