Panthers Fan Gets Choked By Security, Thrown Out Of Game For “Cheering”

Just spoke to my buddy who sat two rows behind this guy (you can hear my friend yelling in the first video). He said the guy was with him mom at the game. He was starting "keep pounding" chants most of the game because there were a ton of Panthers fans in that section (145). At the end of the game he held up a sign that said 11-0. That's when the security came down and made him leave.

That's what really happened.

Clearly the choke hold was the security guards only option.

Did you check the reference? It says the article that you posted comes from the Onion which is a parody website.

The Onion itself is satire, but it does have other websites that it refers to as its "Sister Website" (basically they own them) that are not satire. Clickhole is one of them and its kinda like buzzfeed.

Either way that video is real and not a joke.

Seem to be conflicting stories about what led to this.

All that aside, you don't put the guy in a damn chokehold over it, that is incredibly stupid.

You also don't kick out a paying spectator just on heresay, especially when the fans reporting it are watching their team get their butts kicked.

Be respectful, cheer your team and travel in numbers. Good advice if you ask me.

If you're being respectful in how you cheer your team, you shouldn't have to travel in numbers to be safe.

Treat opposing fans at BoA (if they can get tickets) the same way we would want to be treated when we travel to away games. One thing I love about the Panthers fan base (and the NFC South in general) is that we're overall the "nice" division when it comes to showing off southern hospitality to visitors.

Unfortunately there are always a-holes no matter how you act during the game. But generally if you're not one then you'll be fine.

I was talking to this girl who is an Eagles fan. She was a completely nice and reasonable person. She was telling me how many asshole harassd her at the game. I tended to believe her. The point is football games tend to be attended by asshole who have no sense everywhere.

Whether or not he deserved to be thrown out, there was no reason for that chokehold. If I was a security supervisor I would tell my staff that I never want to see them use a chokehold on someone because it's dangerous and totally unnecessary.

and it's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Do we have to include Saints fans in this "being nice"? Do we?
