Time to Believe Says Gregg Rosenthal

When KB went down, I went from an 12-4 season to a 10-6 season... Then Brown started dropping all those passes... but I stayed strong and said "I can't change it now! 10-6!"

So... here I am... watching the rest of the national media catch on. And other teams fans as well.

I'm enjoying it. But, as long as the 16-0 thing doesn't cloud the minds of the players, and they keep focused and go one game at a time. I'm all for whatever happens.

Just amongst us, I'll say that I thought 7-9 was optimistic when KB went down. So to be seriously considering how close the team is to an undefeated season is just plain damn light years above and beyond any expectation I had.

To the outside world, though, fug you Greg. I always believed!

I'd been thinking 12-4 or 11-5 prior to KB's injury.  Afterwards I officially clung to 10-6 but worried we might slip to 9-7 or 8-8.  I did think we'd somehow threepeat given our defense and how we match up against our NFC South rivals.  This season has been a gift.

In case anyone is interested to look back at the "official" predictions of nearly 3 dozen Huddlers, here's the thread.

All but 1 of us who went on record predicted at least a 500 season.  Moorgan was the only one who officially predicted 16-0.  Let's hope he's right!

Igo was at 11-5.  Let's hope he's wrong as that would now mean about the worst melt-down of all time.  In September 11-5 sounded pretty good!

To be fair, I predict undefeated every year. I've just never been right this long. But my rationale is based on the style of play and the locker room. I love this team.

I don't remember him saying this but he did say we had the least offensive talent in the league across the board, less than Cleveland. He thought it a crime that nothing had been done to provide a supporting cast for Cam, and he also thought Shula was garbage. In other words, he thought the same as many huddlers.

He said it in a video preview of week one that apparently got him so much flack they refilmed it and took that part out.

A lot of people on here watched the first version and were pretty pissed.

Damn you for holding our feet to the fire KB ;) I shall now gladly eat my crow. I prefer it cooked in pie crust though.

This team has a really good change to break the 16-0 barrier. I'm still worried about all of our games, because all of our opponents will have something to play for against us, if nothing else, than to play the spoiler and give us our first loss.

The guys just need to stay focused and keep owning the mantra of being 1-0 next weekend... all the way to the Super Bowl where there won't be a next weekend for 6 months. Haha.

I though 7-9 was a little pessimistic and thought we could make s run at acWV spot this year.  But I never imagined in my wildest dreams we could be 11-0 and have a legit shot at an undefeated season.

we are truly witnessing one if those special teams.....much like the 83 Wolfpack who won the national championship by never giving up and believing in each other.

LOL.  I hear Barbequed Crow isn't bad... tastes like Chicken.

But perhaps in honor of our next opponent, I'll cook mine up blackened - Cajun style.

I picked 11-5 after KB went down..  Never expected this though. @SCP and I were called Homers by certain radio personalities on Twitter because we still viewed this team as a damn good team without him

This board went full retard when KB went down.

I seriously think I was the only one here who didnt think out season was 'lost'.

Even when we were 4-0, fans were shitting all over us.

I didn't see the season as lost. I just though losing KB = losing an extra game or two

I didn't think so and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. I thought the doom and gloom over losing Benjamin was way overblown. I was never as down on our other wide receivers as most.

I'm sorry that KB didn't get to play this year, but not having him has made Cam a better QB. And if we win a few more games we might even make the playoffs.
