Since we make fun of opposing fans for their simplistic ways for gameplanning against us, how would YOU do it?

You're the coach of a .500 team with okay talent on offense and defense. How would you go about attacking us? I'm not thinking of many good options. The very few times we've stuggled on offense this year, it's been when defenses have aggressively blitzed us. As for defense: have we really struggled on defense this year? I'm assuming Colin Jones won't be playing cornerback for too much longer, so...I have no idea! As long as we aren't letting our foot off the gas in the 4th, I can't remember the defense struggling. Maybe you could send a running back on a curl route to get them in front of a linebacker to at least move the chains?

The only weakness I've seen on our defense has been the big plays we give up when running backs cut back and our linebackers over pursue. Also, I'm afraid of speedy backs since they seem to give us more fits than power backs. But that isn't enough. It would really take a smart quarterback and outstanding o-line so that the QB could pick apart our zone, but I'm not convinced that any team has that combination. At this point, the Panthers are the only team that can beat the Panthers (and I mean that we will only lose if we don't play to our potential).

well to begin with there's a reason this team is undefeated. so if you're a .500 team with average talent on both sides of the ball, odds are your gameplan isn't going to work either way.

on offense, take away 88 with double teams, contain Cam in the pocket, try to stop the run... and there is a good chance you still lose.

as to beating our D, lol.  I mean exploit our weakness w/that slot receiver until we get peanut back, but most of all protect the goddamn ball. make our o march the full length of the field, because that may keep the game close enough that they could get a couple lucky plays

If I were a DC gam planning against this team Id start with a zone blitz scheme that attempted to disguise who was coming from where.  Cam's game is starting down the road to (and don't lose your mind when I say this) Peyton's gam- get lined up and make the play call based on what you see. So you have to beat him with the formation and deception.

Fwiw, Dallas did a pretty decent job against us.  Although I think we went heavy run after the 3rd qtr td.  We would likely have been able to score more if we mixed it up a bit.

But I would focus on stopping the run, in particular stopping the qb from running.  Keep Cam in the pocket, hit him a lot when he runs, and focus pass defense on stopping the deep ball to Ginn, Brown, and company.  And I would double Olsen.

Of course, that might mean Stewart has a big game, but you have to pick your poison.
