Is Kalil 100%?

He just seems like he's been off a little bit recently. Last night he didn't snap the ball twice when Cam wanted it. He also got beat terribly in our own territory resulting in a sack. That isn't the first time either. I am just wondering if anyone else has noticed and if he's at 100 atm.

The noise of the crown and his own voice calling out protections made it impossible for him to hear cam. So the coaches had our OGs literally slap him when the clock was running down so he knew to snap the ball.

Maybe his hearing is going and he needs aids. If both guards can hear Cam, but he can't then something is up.

My neighbor who has coached football said its actually the right guards job to watch the clock and tap the center when it the clock is winding down.  He said the center is busy with setting up the blocks and the guard will touch him when it is time to snap the ball. On a few other plays I did see Norwell hit Kalil on the hip and then he snapped it.

It's not about hearing it's about not being able to look at the clock while calling out protections. The guards can look at the clock but if it was an unexpected defensive look it took a bit more adjustment. It happened once so I don't think it's a huge issue.

    • If we don't switch it up and start playing full court pressure D we're just going to have to shoot lights out and have the other team have an off night to have a chance against top teams. We've trailed by 20 in three of our four games and ended up getting back in them by picking up the pressure. This team has to pressure and create pace because we don't have the post presence to play half court ball on either side of the court.
    • Would love to see us sign him to say a 4 year extension structured in a way that pays him most of the money in the first two years with an out after the 2. It protects us to injuries or penalty issues, it gives him a lot of money, and it also gives him an ability to renegotiate in 2 years if he plays at a high level, and if he does, we'd be happy to pay it to him again.
