We're beginning to specialize a bit in rehabilitating players other teams are giving up on or not finding a role for:  Oher, Ginn, Cotchery, Tillman, Coleman, Allen...

Of course there are some that haven't worked out (Jonathan Martin, anyone?) but generally, I've not seen us get hurt by our willingness to give some of these vets a chance, and when it works, it has sometimes paid off in spades at low cost to us.

I think this is mainly due to the fact that our coaching staff is really good at putting players in a position to succeed.  With these wiley vets, there's TONS of tape on them, and what has made them successful vs. what has not.  When they come here, we want them to do the things they were successful at.  So many teams just pick up players and expect them to excel at whatever system is in place, rather than adjusting their system to fit their player's strengths.  This is something that I feel we've always done under Rivera, but this year in particular we've been astoundingly good at it.
