You guys have a ground game. You don't need a QB that needs to come in and win games for you, you just need one to manage the game and not lose it. Unfortunately Jake is giving up the ball way too much on his last 2 games that really mattered.

You just confirmed that it isn't that Jake is looking bad, its that playcalling is asking too much of him.

Where are all the easy 100% pass plays? The screens and dumps? With all the blitzing there should've been a hole there...somewhere? Then again Jakes accuracy has not been the same since the surgery and some new blood will hopefully just take the safe route regardless...even if that means he gets sacked 5 times a game its better than 2+ int's.

Jake is the ugly ducking in this case. I love our team, I f**king hate Jake with a passion.....now, for the first time. Its sad.

Jake is the reason that relying on the passing game will never work.....he is not the reason that the passing game is asked to be relied on. We have a ground game that can dictate the flow of the game like no other in the league, for some reason we haven't turned it loose in the past two games.

Two reasons. First, our Defense can't stop anyone with this Tampa 2 crap. Secondly, teams know Jake is crap. Therefore they are going to stack the LOS, double Steve Smith and dare Jake to beat us.

How did that work for us today? Get used to it because teams now know how to beat us.

The defense did fine today. If we had been relying on them for the game, we would have gone into overtime tied at ten.

Even if teams triple cover Smith and dare Jake to beat them passing wise, if we would stop giving up on the run game so early...neither of those would be an issue.
