Rivera feels somewhat disrespected by Vegas, perhaps others

The thought of being underdogs in Dallas has our generally reserved coach that routinely gives us nothing as it pertains to the media show just a little bit--just a wee taste---of his feelings about how his team has been viewed in light of what is transpiring this season.

"It's nothing that we haven't seen before. You know we've had a better record in some of our other games where we were underdogs," Rivera told the media Monday. "So we are going to take it in stride. As I said, we are going to play them one at a time and as far as we are concerned everybody is 0-0 and we'll see how it comes out.

"It is a little disrespectful, I guess. But apparently they know something we don't. We are just going to prepare and get ourselves ready for Thursday. We'll show up."

Translation: We are gonna whoop dat ass like we have been doing.

Sounds like Marc Sessler believes it too.

Oh, cam and the guys are gonna be piiiiiiiisssed.  Any chance of us taking the game lightly and just going through the motions went out the window when we were put as an underdog.  I the worst thing that could happen to Dallas is for them to be favored because they need to beat us to have a chance at the playoffs and with us coming in pissed off and disrespected, there's no way on earth we overlook them

I personally think being set as underdogs for this game is the best thing that could have happened.

I'll let all the other teams take the media glory but we'll have the real glory with the Superbowl Win. Especially beating the best team, QB, & Coach in the last 15 yrs.

I love it. It seems like the narrative around this being a trap game has gotten so strong over the last few days that it has finally gone full circle and the snake is eating its tale. SO many people have said Dallas will upset the Panthers that the Panthers are underdogs. They've therefore made this a statement game for the panthers. Can this team beat Romo in Dallas on Turkey day?

I hope we keep being underestimated. Keeps us sharp, and focused. And I can buy that. In the words of a great Panther (and in keeping with my use of mixed metaphors) "We're gonna ride this horse till the wheels come off."
