Not about the article, but about the video at the top.  Random guy says "eventually the discussion about the Panthers going 16-0 begins" and Deion says basically hayull no.  Says we'll have a let down game because what if Olsen gets hurt (weak argument).  Then says if any team goes 16-0 it'll be the Patriots.  I mean, if his argument was "they won't go 16-0 because no one will go 16-0 because it's too damn difficult in this league" I wouldn't get my feels hurt about it.  But he's basically shitting on the Panthers there.  He tries to redeem himself by saying there's 4 teams that are the contenders and the other 8 teams in the playoffs are just happy to be there and the Panthers are one of the 4, but it doesn't make up for the previous comment imo heh.  Irvin and Faulk disagree to a point and somewhat defend the Panthers.  They imply that they think Carolina CAN go 16-0 if someone's gonna do it.

What are the odds?

2 teams have done it in 49 years....One is the same coach and qb.

if we do it, cool. But I'd rather win the Superbowl, I think you can ask the above mentioned coach and qb about which one they would like to have .

And like I said, if that had been his angle I wouldn't have had a problem.  But it wasn't.  It wasn't that "the odds are against a team doing it again", it was "it ain't gonna be the Panthers".

Yeah I know. I just keep thinking about all the teams in history to not do it. I am also starting to think we might do it. But so can the Pats...

This is the point I was hitting on. At the beginning of the season, when a team is 0-0, the odds of anyone going 16-0 is really horrible. However, we're already 10 games in and past the toughest part of the schedule. It's not such a monumental feat at this point.

It's like the odds of flipping a coin and it coming up heads 10 times in a row is really bad (1 in 1024). However, if you've already had heads come up 8 times in a row, you're now looking at 1-4 odds since you only need heads to come up two more times. Big difference.

You know I was on the fence before but after reading all this stuff today I'm starting to want us to go undefeated

To start off a run of over 5 Super Bowl wins in the Cam/Luke/Rivera/Gettleman era with a 19-0 season would be fuging beautiful.
