Hoping to be average: The John Fox Story

No doubt Delhomme and Fox have brought us many unforgettable memories but the call for their demise will hit an all time high with the Huddlers. Not to be part of the Knee-Jerk reaction but I do support the end of this era.

I think that Foxie's value is taking a team that is lacking talent or direction and making them competitive. In other words I think Fox could coach the Detroit Lions and make them 8-8....but he also could take The New England Patriots and make them 8-8 just the same. This explains his inconsistency in back to back seasons.

Fox would feel trying to figure out a way to move the ball in the air utilizing match ups and quick timing patterns as simply "Satan's Football".....multiple defensive fronts, complex blitzing schemes...."Fughet about it." The complete lack of forward thinking on this staff just keeps us in the middle of the pack.

The NFL is an ever progressing league with new and innovative coaches entering the league all the time. Why do the Giants and Eagles have a Blitz package that disrupts everyone?? Do they have that much more talent of is it our scheme. I just think that as an Organization, the Fox era is done and we need to move on to another coach.

This team and city needs deserves better and needs to move forward. This team needs to get someone they will listen to and run through a wall for. Fox is not that guy. All the apologies for poor performances and lack of discipline have not garnered respect from the players.....and it shows...we will be very AVERAGE...always with Foxie. 2003 was a long time ago.

You nailed it with this comment:

Fox has his players all convinced that they are underdogs in every game and that they should always fly under the radar. That mindset is what prevents them from being elite. This team has too much talent for them to be this average. The problem isnt the talent. Its mostly coaching! This team will go NO WHERE until Jerry grows a pair and cans this idiot! Fox can only ride the 2003 season for so long.

Imagine Delhomme with a three+ turnover game against ATL next week... What does Fox do?? Is he going to replace Jake in a non injury situation or does he back his QB in a career killing season? hmmmmm....very interesting.

Jake would need to play like he did this week, every single week til about week 10 before Fox pulls him.

I agree the city and fans deserve better......I'm just not sure what yet. But, it's not going to take me long to figure it out.

I agree.......get us away from this fast. We support this team so much through the good and bad.....give us something to cheer about
