Why isn't Bene a full time starting corner over Tillman?

Desean Jackson can burn pretty much every slot corner in the NFL except maybe Chris Harris. One play is not an indictment of Colin Jones' coverage ability

Also, Desean Jackson isn't just regular fast.  He's not even normal NFL fast. He is one of 2 maybe 3 people in the NFL.

It's the NFL. The rules are slanted so heavily towards the passing offense no one is going to shut down a good offense forever. But we have one of the best passing defenses in the league. Tillman is a big part of that. He's knocked out a lot of routine completions to force 4th downs.

You can help that. By not stumbling. One of the traits you look for in slot corner is the ability to change directions and swing hips. Jones is a great football player but he's not a traditional slot corner.

Tillman is the reason why we had 5 forced fumbles yesterday. We have been stripping and poking balls out all year because how he has brought that dimension to our defense which was already great before then. Tillman is still a good CB but Bene plays the the slot alot better. Bene I think will become a CB as soon as Tillman retires and hopefully we keep Norman and we can draft someone to replace Bene.
