No risk and literally no point. We have tried this before with basketball players who actually HAD a football background as well. All of them flopped. At best, training camp and practice squad fodder. -
That's the thing, he's this good and not even a finished product. A lot of great TEs don't have elite twitch and suddenness to them. He's a football player through and through and I feel that once he gets to eat/sleep football 24/7 in the NFL, he's going to hone his route tree while refining his breaks/cuts. My only knock on him is he's a bit stiff, which is hampers crisp route running. Warren strikes me as a gym rat football junkie and I can see that cleaned up in short order...in the course of a season or less. Unless your name is Brock Bowers, TEs usually don't set the League on fire their rookie season. I could see him contributing heavily in year 1, none-the-less.

I am not sure if it was or wasn't his decision to bring him back, but I am willing to bet that he fires him next offseason.
