Our First Drive the perfect example of the lack of adjustments?

I've been thinking about this. Everytime you hear one of our players speak, after the Arizona game, after tonite, they seem to always start with the caveat, that we "drove the ball downfield well on our first drive". If this isn't the most obvious example of our lack of adjustments during games I don't know what is.

The other team decides hey, they like to run this running play out of "x" formation, so we'll run blitz them for a loss, and if its a play action, we'll simply take a couple of extra steps and get delhomme instead because hes not very mobile anyway. Our response is to keep running "x" until it works again, because of course, our offensive line has no problem blocking all out blitzes or zone blitzes, or man blitzes, etc.
