Defense won this game for us

Honestly, I'd have to call this as complete a team win as any I've seen.

Outside of two big plays, all aspects of the team were looking good for most of the game.

I'm not saying the rest of the team was bad.  I'm just saying that the defense pretty much won it for us.  Look at three of our touchdown drives:

3 plays 31 yards

6 plays 24 yards

3 plays 11 yards.

Of course the offense had to finish it and convert those into touchdowns, but you can't get much better field position than that.

Defense was great today. Wouldn't argue that.

The defense played great and will continue to play great, but the stats were especially good because the redskins simply didn't want to play today.

I agree!  They looked whipped when they got off the bus!

How many times did their defense jump off sides? Five? Six?

That is basic football from Pop Warner on up. How embarrassing!

I'm surprised they came out for the second half the way they looked!

That folks falls on the coaching!!

We are playing really good. We keep playing like this, fug it. 16-0. There is not a team left on our schedule that can hang with the Panthers if they keep playing the way they have lately. This is some epic, historic poo going down. I love it.

Dallas and New York are the only remaining challenges IMO.  Zebras are awfully favorable to the Cowboys when they are against a small market team.  I do think the race between us and the Pats for a perfect season might keep ref trickery at bay, considering the wealth of injuries to big name players this year and a shortage of clear cut contenders.  I also don't think the refs would be able to do enough anyway.  Sure a few bad calls may skew the score, but I doubt they can easily move the ball or protect Romo well enough to win.

Giants spook me.  Their offense is spooky.  If Bad Eli shows up we will obliterate them.  If Good Eli shows up they can put some serious points down.  OBJ will be a good test for just how good Norman is.

If the field position was worse we would have just had even more TOP :P.

Think Jones deserves a shoutout, he got beat badly on that TD but he bounced back really well, noticed him all over the field on a number of plays, credit to him for not letting that play have an effect on him

Jones should never have been matched up on Jackson...he never had a chance.

I'm not trying to argue out D wasn't fantastic today, it was.

But our offense also covered *92 yards!* to take the lead at 21-14, a lead that our defense never relinquished from that point on.  In fact, our first drive was also 78 yards.  I think it is fair to say that our offense beat the crap out of the Redskins defense, and kept our defense rested, in that pivotal first half.

This was a complete team win. I don't think you can say either O or D won this one specifically.

Why does it always have to be one or the other? The TEAM won this game for us. Solid on ALL phases of the game depsite that long kickoff return TD.

Agreed. I wouldn't say Defense won us this game as much as both sides of the ball contributed evenly. The Time of Possession for our offense was ridiculous by the time the team was up 21-14. This was a team win.
