Should we make a trade for Derek Anderson, Kellen Clemmons, Sage Rosenfels, or Garcia

Garcia. He can manage the game and protect the ball and give our stellar backs a chance to really control the pace of the game. If we get garcia i will be extremely happy that we are trying something...however i doubt the panthers will do anything and the most we can hope for is to sit delhomme for moore and hope that solves some of our problems. Unfortunately until our playbook includes some dump passes to avoid those 6 man blitz's no QB will survive in this system. Might as well put a RB or Smitty back there and just do wildcat every single down.

Garcia. That guy drove me nuts when we played him. He's a short term solution until we can get our QB of the future (which is not Moore).

That's the same thing New Orleans said about Jake L O L

Don't remember Brooks playing in a Super Bowl

How do you know its not Moore,if evertime you see Moore the game is over ?

Drove back from Richmond... just got in. Talk about a loooong drive! Still not as long as the trip back after the Arizona playoff loss, I must admit. :/

Anyway, I agree that we need a solid veteran behind Jake.

I know it's one game, and really, what can it hurt?

FACT IS, fans need to stop saying that it's disrespectful to Jake to have a quality backup behind him. Really? Doesn't Vick makes McNabb a better a player? Doesn't it help to look behind you and see somebody who can take your job? Doesn't it force you to play better? The Panthers haven't had a decent backup since Steve Beuerlein and we certainly can't draft a good QB to save our lives!!! If you're Jake Delhomme and the guy you need to worry about is Matt Moore or Josh McCown or David Carr, you can't do much more than laugh! Does this team TRY to bring in crap to make Jake feel comfortable?

Don't get me wrong, the Eagles played excellent defense today. I don't recall many plays when players were open. Philly's d was on point. Just solid...

Don't know of many QBs who would have succeeded against that defense. Not sure if the answer is Garcia or not? Maybe. You know, Garcia doesn't throw a great deep ball but he's terrific at getting rid of the ball quickly which we need. Jake sits in the pocket way too long and it doesn't help when the line breaks apart.

Would the Panthers sign Garcia? Doubtful. #1, again we're too loyal to Jake but the loyalty is borderline stupidity. #2, Garcia has a history of speaking up against coaches. This club has never been a fan of outspoken members (just look at Fox). And we all know how well Kris Jenkin's two cents paid off...

I hope we can bounce back next week. I'm heading to the Redskins contest and I'm hoping it's a much quicker trip back. :)

Garcia didnt work in Cleveland or Detroit because they were not west coast teams. We dont run the same offense he did in San Fran, Tampa or Philly where he had some success. Garcia is NOT going to happen, they would bring back Vinny before they did that.

Jake has never been Drew Brees or Tom Brady and he never will be. There is no excuse for him to have 5 turnovers either. But my point is this, the o line was awful today just like they were in the Arizona game but nobody here is saying cut Gross or Otah. Jake will bounce back, we wont win 12 games this year but we wont lose 12.

Lets run the fu#k out of the ball for the rest of the season, let Jake throw it 15 times a game and we can go from there.

The Eagles are just a better team then us right now, no if's and's or but's about it.

how the hell was the o lie horrible?jake and josh both held the ball to long that's why when moore came in we actually were moving the ball.D fense in my opinion play great take out all the turnovers and punt td and they only allow 7 points.Jake is to blame for a lot of things the screen play was busted but he still threw the ball knowing there was a back standing right beside williams. His passes were behind smith and he over shot moose twice....he also under threw smith that was picked.the oline did good blocking can't help it if they were being overload blitz all day.

I say we drop jake and mccown....and try and pick up either leftwhich, one of kc qb's,or Anderson....defiantly should take a look at one of kc qb's

I agree that we can't blame the offensive line for everything, even if they didn't play up to snuff, it doesn't rule out the fact that Delhomme was throwing passes short, long, or into the turf when he wasn't under pressure. Sure the line could have provided more protection, but Jake just stood there and took it instead of making plays or throwing it away, making the whole team look worse.

I really like Rosenfels. He was one of the very few viable options we could have pursued in the offseason. At this point, we'd probably have to give up a 2nd round pick for him (ouch). Might be better to just wait for the 2010 draft and get one there.

Anyone we bring in won't be ready to go for awhile and it won't matter if we have Tom Brady back there with our WRs rarely getting open and our OLine not blocking anyone.
