Eh I disagree, Giants are perpetually mediocre, even in their Super Bowl years.  They get hyped for big games and lose to bad teams.  That's not the mark of a good team, that's the mark of a lazy team that gets hot at the right times.  No disrespect to a team that has two Superbowl rings, but they just don't seem to be able to put it all together on a consistent basis.

So what's a good team to you? The 2000s Colts who rarely lost a trap game yet with the exception of one championship year got continually outplayed and out coached in the playoffs?

2007 Giants was good, but their 2011 team was decent. Giants one of those teams that caught momentum at the right time and took it through the whole thing. They were saying before we beat them, after Miami win and beating us they can "possibly" do it again

The sample size of games is just too small to evaluate just how "good" a team is compared to another team. Then you have the whole matchups dynamic and who's built to exploit a team's weaknesses and who isn't. The Giants may not have been perfect those years, they may not have been elite, but the Super Bowl is the ultimate goal.

The Giants just don't sustain success.  They haven't made the playoffs since their 2011 win.  They posted the same 9-7 record in 2012 as the 2011 Superbowl team, but that year they missed the playoffs.  Two Superbowl wins is very good, don't get me wrong here.  But I think they are kinda lucky, and an overall inconsistent team that is trending downward now.  Outside of those two Superbowl years they've been very mediocre.  Granted they're better than the Panthers have been, but in 5 years that might not be true anymore.  But as a wise man once said, "It's better to be lucky than good", so what do I know.
