It's funny to see how wrong he was about that entire article. He even mentioned Blaine Gabbart as a bad thing and he has surprisingly been pretty good.  Glad He's now drinking the kool aid.

Kudos to Chris Chase for admitting he was wrong and coming back with a great article. And I completely agree with his assessment of the Giants. 7 of their 8 losses have been by 6 pts. or less. Make some improvements on defense before next season and they could be a serious playoff contender.

The Giants are definitely close to a good team.

They took both us and the Pats to a last second FG being needed to win the game.

Was Cam really "in accurate" as the writer says? Or, did Cam play in several poor weather games-affecting his completion %, along with his receivers dropping balls they should have caught?

That sounds more like it to me. But of course, you'd have to either watch the games, or care to know.

The entire completion % argument is so silly and such a Red Herring, when you really think of it.

Seems to be a theme this year.  I'm losing count of all the "mea culpa" articles this year.

Eh I disagree, Giants are perpetually mediocre, even in their Super Bowl years.  They get hyped for big games and lose to bad teams.  That's not the mark of a good team, that's the mark of a lazy team that gets hot at the right times.  No disrespect to a team that has two Superbowl rings, but they just don't seem to be able to put it all together on a consistent basis.

Historically, you're describing the Panthers. We have yet to achieve back to back winning seasons. We're certainly not mediocre now and now is the time period I'm talking about in regard to the Giants, not their entire history. Despite the mediocre record they're a dangerous team, even with a lousy pass defense.

He's a career sub-60% passer, I think it's fair to say he's been inaccurate, especially when compared to the other top QB's.

So is Luck!

So I hope you feel the same way about him then!?

And I always thought Newton was right around 60% career wise FWIW. Of course, I won't even get into scheme; the tight windows Newton normally throws into, and receivers with you (judging by  your puzzling remarks), and how it affects completion %.

So please, just tell me you feel the same about Luck's sub career 60% completion % (and INT leader to boot-the past few seasons); then we can call it a day.

Thanks

No, just no. Click on his name and scroll through his other articles. He covers all sports and all teams, yet 1 out of every 3 or 4 articles is hating on the Panthers. It got stalker ex-girlfriendish weird before his "redemption" article. He doesn't get to make amends. fug that guy.

I don't give a crap about his history or his biases. I like his story. Using your logic the Panthers are one of the worst NFL organizations in the history of the game and therefore incapable of sustained success. Live in the moment man. Let the past go, at least until the guy shoots himself in the ass again.

Using your logic, criminals shouldn't be held accountable for the crimes they commit.

The dude wrote 30+ articles this season bashing the Panthers. He swore they'd never reach 16-0 because they were terrible. He used faulty statistics to note why it was actually a bad thing we were winning and when none of that worked, he wrote an article about how it's ok to dislike cam newton because he dances after a TD. He's a troll and shouldn't be applauded for trying to save face after this many pathetic articles. I live in the here and now, and right here, right now, Chris Chase is still a hack of a journalist.

Don't get me wrong, I have no further plans to call him out on Twitter, he's basking in his own ignorance and doesn't need my help.
