Panthers Fans Who Left At the Half

Yes I realized that there were stragglers that were making their way back, but still there was a lot of people who didn't come back at all. I know it is frustrating seeing your team get beat like that, but come on - Maybe if the fans did show some heart the team would feed off of it.

Yes - I just sat home on the couch - screw me for not making the 4 hour trip and spending money I don't have to attend the game but if you spend the money to be there then why not make the most of it? The games I have been to I did stay the entire time especially after all the money I had to put forth to be there.

Whatever, I am just going to get hammered for my opinion, but I still say it just looks pathetic to see that many people leave so soon.

It looks that way EVERY game of the year. People wait until the half to go get their food and go to the bathroom and can't make it back in 12 minutes. So yes, when you see the game after the half it will always look empty...always. Now...were there empty seats and the end of the third? Yes. Why? Fans left, and also that side of the stadium (the side you see on TV) gets direct sunlight the entire game. Sitting there in 90 degree heat during a blowout = suck.

But as you said, "when the second half started". Keep watching. You'll see this every game. People are still getting food and beer.

Agreed. If yopu plop down the cash you should make the most of the game.

Which in this case was getting the heck out

I have never left a game early in my 10+ years going, and even have yapped at others when they do.................... BUT yesterday I felt like it. I told my wife: "I really wish I beleive in leaving early, because I feel like getting out of here". We ended up staying to the end but I dont blame anybody for leaving yesterday. I still though dont understand the not even coming back after halftime.

i sat in the east endzone, and got back to my seat just in time for the second half. I did notice that the fans on the north side we're slow getting back, but most appeared to come back even though it was only for a brief amount of time. probably long enough to drink their beer.

I left with a little more than 6 minutes left in the game, and it still bothers me that I did. I just couldn't continue watching the team fall apart, and get sunburned on my face at the same time.

I get so tired of hearing this poo. O your not a fan you left early. Hey after forking out 600 a f**king game on tickets if I want to leave because I dont agree with the play, coaching or management thats anybodys right. And you with your delbong colored glasses stick in there bud and watch the rest of the debacle, praying your delbong comes back to throw a meaningless td, o wait you stayed to watch philly stuff us on 4th down near there endzone.O wait I was there to0.

Seriously though stop with the way do you leave nonsense. The fans that pay dearly for this poo only have one voice and thats at the games. That voice only works when its gone and effects the pocket book.

That is exactly the way i feel brother. If the Panthers put a good product on the field fans will stay,if not it's goodbye, that is human nature and the way it should be.

The holier than i fans, that pat themself on the back for staying and chastise fans that don't,probably have no life or nothing to go home to.

I can't believe any fan is stupid enough to stay, just be tormented, while viewing such a sorry performance.

If enough fans bail out then Jerry will get the message and light a fire under Fox and the team,or else make plans to do a housecleaning and find coaches and players who can coach and play.:yesnod:

So what do you think of fans of other teams who stick to the end and travel to see games, even when their team sucks? Are they that much more loyal than the majority of our fans?

Anybody can stick around when the team is winning --- what pride is there in that?

If you choose to only cheer and support your team during the good times, that's your choice. I still would never look at that and even put you in the same ballpark with other fans around the NFL.

Didn't ESPN do a ranking on fan loyalty? What did we rank like... #25. Still better than the Falcons or Jaguars. Cleveland was #3. Incredible!

I think the lack of an atmosphere at our stadium is what hurts us. Fans are just confused on how to be fans. Some boo at poor performances, others boo those who boo. I believe in booing... Eagles fan boo. Steelers fan boo. Browns fans boo. In fact, Browns fans booed Couch to tears!

They still travel with the team. They still proudly call them their team. That's what makes for a "loyal" fan.

I go to a lot of Oakland A's games. They are a shitty team. I mean shitty. Sometimes I leave early because I go to the game to have fun, not to get all pissed off. Sometimes I regret it, sometimes I don't. On Mother's Day a few years back the A's were down by something like 8 runs with only a couple innings left, they ended up winning with a walk-off homerun, and it was awesome. I stayed around and it was worth it. Other times I've seen them losing and taken off and listened to the remainder of the game on the radio and heard them come back, and regretted leaving. Most of the time though, a whoopin is a whoopin and I'm glad I left before the traffic on the freeway or the BART train gets horrible, making my day even shittier.

Some of you guys forgot that fans of other teams do the same thing. It happend often. Heck, I remeber when Panthers were beating the Bears at the playoffs one time, the fans were leaving. The thing is, Panthers fans aren't the only NFL fans to leave early. This will happend with any teams if they are playing badly at home & has no chance for a comeback.
