To be fair, if you give Gettleman credit for great timing on Cam's contract, you gotta knock him for not getting Josh Norman locked up this past offseason before he had a DPOY worthy season.

Who's to say Bene doesnt come into his own over this year and works his but off over the offseason and next year's TC?

Could Norman be expendable as Coleman and Bene' are coming into their own?

Not to mention, our offense is gonna be able to put up 30+ next season once KB gets back on the field and our line continues to improve?

Crazy, huh? I remember when we didn't even know who our two most important players were. Now we have two of the most important players in the NFL. My how times have changed.

Gotta love the extension Olsen signed as well. He's just as important as any other offensive player we have.

I hope Bene does get back to his rookie form, but we still need another CB.  Peanut is 34 years old.  Coleman is a safety.

Tillman and Coleman are making more plays than whoever our 3rd CB is supposed to be.

I mean, Harper does next to nothing at his position.

I fully expect us to draft either a DE in the first, a CB in the second and a S in the third.

Having Shaq makes nickel an expendable commodity.

I fully expect us to draft BPA in the 1st, BPA in the 2nd, and BPA in the 3rd.  I think Gettleman has proven that he won't reach based on immediate need.

I've bashed Harper plenty in the past, but he's been playing really well here recently.

Peanut and Bene have been getting picked on quite a bit.  It's obvious opposing QBs are avoiding Norman and going after our lesser CBs.  It would be dumb not to.

I doubt anybody back in the early part of this year would have believed that we'd be going into this season with our two most important players locked up to long term deals.

I was sure Cam's would get done this off season but did not expect Luke's since he would've been locked up this year and next anyways with the 5th year option. Was hoping, like many others and everybody now, that we'd get Josh locked up but it didn't happen. Pains me now to see that Josh turned down $7M/year (if Person was right when he reported that, and granted we don't know the guaranteed, # of years, etc.) but I still have hope we can lock him up after this year and extend KK. If we get those two deals done we're in very very good shape. Star has the 5th year option as well and I can't think of any other young core players we'd need to lock up. Obviously eventually guys from our amazing 2014 draft class but that's a while away. And the TD and Olsen extensions went kind of under the radar. Those were huge deals for the team.
