Scared White People Are Running Out of Reasons to Hate Cam Newton

Please.....I think back to the Kerry Collins fiasco and was embarrassed as hell. Collins was a drunk and a quitter. Cam wants to win, he's been nothing short of excellent as a role model to kids since he's been here. He does great work in the community, he keeps the game fun and entertaining. I remember back to wacthing fugging Farve run around after scoring and the media would always say "look at him!, he's a little kid out there on the playground!" In fact I heard that poo until I wanted to puke. Cam does a dance and all at once he's not a leader. Keep winning Cam and keep dancing. This OLD WHITE GUY loves it!

Until somebody is willing to address the Carson Palmer action ( which in my very tolerant opinion was the definition of disrespectful and inappropriate) we can't have a serious discussion. Cam's celebration would have ended like it always did if the linebacker didn't get in cam's face to talk junk. The linebacker brought on the extra taunts, and they were well deserved and hardly inappropriate or disrespectful. This media stink is annoying despite the people who take cam's side because there is no respect for what he has accomplished as a 5year pro, instead all they want to do is bring him down. 

 

Cant wait till Sunday to watch cam bust another move and slam it down every cam hater's throat to the pleasure of Panther fans everywhere.

Spot on article.  It's what some of us have been saying for years about the crap Cam gets.

I find it funny that people are OK letting their kids watch grown men beat the crap out of each other every Sunday, breaking bones, pulling muscles, getting concussions, eye pokes, half naked women, etc, while watching boner commercials, beer commercials, and all that, but then complain about a QB dancing for 4 seconds.   Hypocrisy is out of control.

It's a problem of attitudes and morals in America sadly.  Cam get's hate because he has fun, he's passionate, and he's his own drummer.  I love it.  He looks like a freaking model, has a million dollar smile and is basically larger than life compared to some other guys.  He's just awesome, and I have no problem if my 3 year old watches him dance (I actually showed him the dance because he was napping during the game and he loved it.  He said he loved Cam Newton's dancing).

He's just a lightning rod personality on a 9-0 team that no one wants to be there.  He's kind of the ultimate underdog.  I just want Cam to keep being Cam!

Doubt anything comes of the Palmer thing seeing as it happened on the sidelines. The NFL rarely bothers with things that happen there.

Heck, back when Ickey Woods was around, the league specifically directed him to do his 'Ickey Shuffle' on the sideline rather than in the end zone.

The media deserves a lot of blame.  They'll talk about Cam and his dancing and act disgusted, meanwhile they employ a guy like Rodney Harrison who tried to end people's careers every game with late and cheap hits and Ray Lewis.  I wish people would just stfu and look in the mirror and not throw glass stones.

When you think about all that has been made about this, and not Carson Palmer doing a crotch thrust to the Seattle Seahawks crowd..

Also remember back to that picture earlier in the year that Newton posted on his instagram of himself on vacation with his friends, and the underlying stereotypes about gangs or what not that people responded to that with. I don't think it is necessarily "racism" behind this in it's raw definition, like guys running around in white pointy hoods hurling out slurs left, and right. But it's sad disgusting stereotypes about black quarterbacks that are clearly still prevalent. It goes back to the "good old" days of football in the minds of some. It's a shame we haven't made enough progress yet to move past this.
