Some former Panthers get picked up

The Falcons have signed training camp star TJ Heath to their practice squad. Heath looked like a world beater in practice but somehow never seemed to show up in games.

Meanwhile, the Rams picked up two former Panther interior linemen, Eric Kush and Brian Folkerts.

Folkerts is likely the best of that bunch. He did well for us in spot duty a few times when he was here.

Heath really looked like a find when he first got here. He was picking off passes left and right in practice.

When they got to the actual preseason games though, it seemed like all he produced was penalties.

This^^

Hope our coaching staff was not stupid enough to give up any type of strategy to our practice guys. That should be a top priority, learn the playbook without learning the schemes.A very fine line.

Teams fighting over "Gettlescraps" lol.

Some guys just aren't a fit. Look at Remmers. We're his sixth NFL team. Think of how many awesome players would be just average here because they don't fit our scheme. One of the Titans radio guys was saying we win because our players embrace the scheme of grinding down opponents.

    • Dude, its 13 points if you think about it. I guess you take away the three since they kicked the FG after the TD no call was upheld, but Eddie missed two very makeable kicks and they can't be whining about the run game since a fumble sealed the game! Starting to think a lot of people around here don't know football. I get it, it's a message board, but they come on and start threads and it seems like they don't watch the games. There are ESPN takes on here with people who are supposed to be diehards.
    • Probably but he has flashed some.  He's a 2nd year player.   Certainly shown that he's an NFL QB.  Almost 3 years older than Bryce so not as much room for growth.   I'd say Bryce has the significantly higher ceiling.     And sure.   I agree.   He needs to continue to show this growth to get people to buy in. The Eagles is an outlier.  That game will be extremely ugly. I think his play has earned him the chance to compete for starting spot next year with whomever the team brings back.   And it has given the team the luxury of not feeling QB desperate in the draft.     ****Unless he completely falls off the planet again and reverts back to what he was, then it's QB time in the draft again***
