honestly they might as well start him next week against Atlanta if they're going to do it.

conventional wisdom suggests you wait until after a bye week, but i'd rather he go up against the secondaries of atlanta and dallas in his first two starts than washington or the bucs

The argument that Moore couldn't win the 2nd job in camp is garbage...McCowns paycheck won the backup job and if you care to argue that you are forgetting the fact that football is a business. Moore is by far the better quarterback.

For those who think that Moore played just as bad as Jake is also wrong. I'm not a huge fan of stats because they don't tell the story of the game but when your starter is 7 for 17 for 73 yds with 4 picks and 1 fumble and the third string guy comes in and goes 6 for 11 for 63 yds and 1 pick one of them outplayed the other. Moore was facing the same blitzes without the worry of the run and did quite well for the circumstances. Now add in the fact that he put his first pass of the game on the money to Moose, you know, a place where he could run with it after the catch, for 27 yds or so thate gets called back it only fuels the argument for Moore. Then the RARE drop by Smitty on the sideline didn't help Moore either.

I honestly don't remember Delhomme throwing 1 crisp, on the money pass all game but when the 3rd guy does it in the game without any reps in practice with the guys there is a serious problem.

Jake supporters will argue that Moore still threw a pick and that he wasn't facing the same pressure and blah blah blah but the person that is looking at the game not through Jake colored glasses will see that Moore looked calmer in the pocket, didn't completely miss open receivers, and actually seemed to get the guys motivated/interested in playing the final couple minutes even though they were down by 28. The spirits seemed to lift (except Smith who on one play where Moore was looking for him literally walked off the line 5 yds upfield and then did nothing) and I don't think they have that confidence/spirit with Jake anymore

All that said I doubt Moore gets a shot unless we go 0-3 into the bye even though he should get a shot to start this week
