If this is truly the year of the Panthers revenge (even more so if you include the Cardinals play off win in January) then I guess the ideal/fitting ending would be a Superbowl matchup with the Patriots where we get revenge for Superbowl 38.

Power rankings don't matter in the slightest. It's just a thing websites do every week to get clicks from people who care about how well perceived their team is to the rest of the league.
