He went on to Blinn (Texas) Junior College, and then to Auburn before being the first overall pick in the 2011 draft. He now pilots the 9-0 Panthers.

 

Kudos to Newton for not shying away from his journey.

I was at a line in a supermarket yesterday, and this was the conversation between me, dude in front of me and the cashier

Cashier ringing up the guy in front of me (C) - "How did the Raider game go?"

Dude in front of me (D) - "They did OK, They are doing better" then [something else about the raiders]

C - Everyone lost today, no more undefeated teams

Me [steeping up pointing at my panthers shirt] - "how bout this team right here ..."

D - "Dude, I love Cam newton. The guy is a winner. From pop warner, Juco, Auburn everything. He gets hated on about his mechanics, accuracy etc... but dude is a winner". 

Guy was so excited to talk about Cam and wouldn't stop, I had to leave. Everyone I know here loves them some Cam
