Should Carson Palmer be above Cam in the MVP race?

We saw ourselves in the play offs how turgid their offense was without Palmer (although in fairness they were acceptable with Stanton before he got hurt too) but I think that says more about Lindley than it does about the rest of their team, he should be in the conversation but not above Cam

I lol'd.

Palmer is a good QB, I like him honestly, because he has been through a lot in his career. Good to see him being able to redeem himself.

I don't have a problem with him being in the conversation at all, he should be. But the Cardinals also have a damn good team. They were in the playoffs last year without him, and played us close on the road until the end. I don't see the Panthers in the playoffs without Cam Newton, therefore, Newton gets the nod over Palmer from my perspective.

I wouldn't put him above Cam, but most of the media doesn't watch the games and only looks at stats.

Cam carries our offense.  Palmer requires a lot of help.  When the OL play broke down last night, he nearly fumbled the game away.  He fumbled twice, on that directly led to a TD and the other gave the Seahawks the ball inside the 5 where they then scored a TD.  That's 14 points off of Palmer fumbles.  That's half the points the Seahawks scored last night.  The Cardinals WRs also played out of their minds.  Fitz, Floyd, and Brown were GREAT.  Cam hasn't had that type of top to bottom WR play ever in his career.

Palmer is playing very well and deserves recognition, but as he has been for most of his career, Cam IS our offense.

Remind me: Did Cam not just go 21/26 throwing and running for touchdowns yet again as we blew out a team just yesterday? Does Carson Palmer have the best weapons in the league around him or not? Hasn't Palmer lost to 2 teams this year including a game to LANDRY JONES?

This Carson Palmer MVP stuff only started thanks to PFF naming him QB of the Midseason so far. Don't entertain this nonsense.

Quite frankly, you can make a very legitimate case for Brady, Palmer, even Dalton.  They are all playing at a very high level and have their teams winning.

The issue I have is that the "experts" continue to only look at Cam's passing stats when comparing him to the others.  He is a different animal than the other three.....you MUST look at his rushing stats and TD's when having a valid discussion.  This is just something that people are not accustomed to doing

Oh trust me. If/when Cam's passing numbers are up to snuff (and they may very well will be with 7 more games to play), critics will just move their collective goal post somewhere else?

It's clear, Cam's passing numbers have more to do with him having lesser receivers who can't get YAC, or wide open catches. And it has less to do with, Cam not being as good a pocket QB (even if/when you take away what he does with his legs) vs the others.

What would Newton do with Palmer's WR's (or just Fitzgerald with Olsen)??
