Wed. update: Injuries and alternates

The Panthers practiced Wednesday without DT Maake Kemoeatu and RG Keydrick Vincent, along with DE Hilee Taylor.

Asked about Kemoeatu, Fox went back to his "day-to-day" diagnosis. And while Fox didn't want to specify, it's clearly a big deal if he can't play, for run defense purposes.

LB Adam Seward was back to practice, and WR Kenny Moore (hamstring) was limited.

They also added three third-alternates to the Pro Bowl: K John Kasay, CB Chris Gamble and LG Travelle Wharton. You could have made a case for all three making the game.

What's the difference b/t an alternate and 1st alternate?

I assume DWill is #4...but what about the other guys?

The first alternate is the next player at his position to make the team....second alternate is teh second to make it (thus two players who made the team have to miss the game)...third is.....well, you get the point.
