Take Three Seconds...

Some of you may know what I'm talking about but most of you will not. In season 1 on HBO's The Newsroom the President of the station (Sam Waterson) informs his staff that Osama Bin Laden has been killed. He tells his staff to take three seconds and remember where they are and who they're with. Because this will be a night they will remember for the rest of their lives. Now there is much less drama on our end of the spectrum and I don't want to sound ridiculous but I think we should take notice.

All of the things that happen in our lives can go by so fast. Things like watching your kids grow up or marrying the love of your life. These types of things often rightfully take precedent over others. That's why I'm encouraging all of you to take three seconds and just three because you can't spare anymore. I want you to remember this game, this night, this season because these don't come along too often. Remember where you were when Olsen caught that game winning touchdown in Seattle. Remember who you were with when TD caught that game ending interception against the Packers. But most of all remember all of our fallen heroes and their sacrifices which make it possible for you to take those 3 seconds. Love you guys.

I stopped reading after season 1 of HBO. Thought it was going to be about some show that I've never seen.
