Time To Face It, This Is the Greatest Offense In Panthers History.

None of those stats would be possible without our defense. They gave up a couple drives in the first half but pitched a shut out in the second. No doubt our offense has its flaws but Cam Newton is what keeps the wheels from falling off the wagon, no doubt about that he is a very special athlete.

Yes and no. I think Kurt Coleman's interception was the turning point of this game. Our offense is blessed with short fields that allow us to score quick TDs. But that also makes our yardage look much less gaudy. We haven't been behind much in the 4th quarter this year and when we were Cam moved the ball with ease.

That 1999 team was airing it out late in the 4th quarter quite a bit. They had the big passing number but we already have more wins than that team.

With the talk about Shula getting interest from the hurricanes, He almost cost us the game today, Shula wanted to impress his potential new employers and got cute.

We played Shula Ball got a lot of the game and we are lucky it didnt bite us in the ass.

I don't think you have a clue......

Shula himself already shot that speculation down.

Never ceases to amaze me how people absolutely will not give credit to Shula in any fashion.  I've said it before but I'm going to say it again, I wasn't a fan of Shula early on when he came on as OC.  I wasn't a shithead that bitched and moan all through game threads about it though.  But I've seen Shula improve as OC...I know crazy right?  People can't improve at their jobs can they?  Ridiculous.  And I will be the first to say that there are better OC's out there right now.  But I'm not stupid enough to believe that Shula should be fired when he's done about as good a job as anyone could expect from this offense.

It's time people stop bitching and moaning (through an undefeated season mind you) and start enjoying the best regular season any Panthers fan has had the pleasure to witness.  And I've been a fan since expansion, so I KNOW what poo offenses and poo teams look like and this team shouldn't be mentioned at all in this regard.

At one point, one of the announcers today said "Carolina's got a pretty good group of receivers this year". To which I thought: "well, know we know. It takes an eight game win streak to kill a preconception".

We don't have great receivers, but we have every type we need. Need big play threat downfield? Throw in Teddy Ginn or Philly Brown. Want possession guys? Put in Cotchery or Bersin. And on type of that we have KB-lite in Funchess as well as two tight ends that can catch, plus Tolbert at H-back. Our WR crops truly is greater than the sum of its parts.
