I often can't stand Warner and his opinions, but in this video he is incredibly on point.  Says Cam probably won't win MVP because the MVP award has begun to just be about stats rather than the definition of the words.  Says if the award goes to the person who is most valuable to their team, it should be Cam.

Why can't Cam play better/be more fortunate? And conversely, why can't Brady play worse/be less fortunate (or Brady's run game score more TD's in the upcoming games), and Cam wins MVP??

Plus, if the Panthers are 14-2 or better, that will be hard to avoid.

This things not written in stone guys, Kurt Warner.

We'll see?

The MVP award is combination of stats/wins/popularity.

If the award had anything to do with the actual term "Most Valuable Player" it would go to Cam. The Patriots would easily be maybe 6-2/7-1 right now with Garapolo.

We would be talking about who we're taking in the top 5 of the draft.

I truly believe the Patriots would still be 8-0 right now with Garapolo. Brady's good but Dion Lewis, Gronk and Edelman (before Lewis went down) are all all in the top 7 or 8 of YAC. Most of Brady's stats are them making plays in the open field, on plays designed to get them into the open space. Brady's been a total game manager this year. Of course he's been amazing throwing only 2 INT so far and 1 of them which was a Edelman drop turned into a pick 6 (sound familiar, Cam?) and the other I didn't see, but he hasn't even been playing at an MVP level considering how their offense is run. Garapolo has a similar skill set from what I've seen and could easily execute in that offense. Cam wouldn't since that's not his style which is completely fine. But he is literally carrying our offense. Stew has been solid and Olsen has been great but Cam is making Ted fuging Ginn look like a Pro Bowler. Without him DA could probably drum up 3-4 wins but they'd be against those lesser teams. No way we beat any of the last 4 teams we played without Cam. Same goes for Dalton as for Brady. Most QBs with that skill set could run that offense easily. Especially looking at those WRs, RBs, TE, and O-line. All elite. Cam should be the only MVP candidate right now. Maybe Carson Palmer. And if Romo were healthy he'd probably be in that discussion since you can clearly see how much he means to that sh*tty team.

Both Cam and Brady are very valuable to their respective teams.  Its nearly impossible to say which one is more valuable.

Fwiw, I think there should be two separate awards, best qb and mvp who is not a qb.

There are two awards. Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player.

I blame the stat based league on fantasy football.

I blame systematic people that need to have everything categorized, color coded, and compressed into loose analogies so that their tiny minds can choose what they think is the right answer.

Its the reason we see a billion Michael Jordan comparisons when in reality . . there can be only one.

Do you really want to talk value?  Then money has to be in the equation.  Who's giving us the biggest bang for the buck?  It's gotta be Norman for the PANTHERS.

You have to consider the guys that are getting paid should be expected to perform at that level.  It's the "Normans" on every team that are the most valuable.  Next year when he gets paid and his stats could be even better but that doesn't mean he is more valuable.
