Titans Week: the REAL question is, are Cowboy boots manly?

Being that it is Titans week, my wife has been trying to convince me to purchase a pair cowboy boots while we are in Nashville. In Nashville they are known for having a bunch of boot shops.

I have never owned a pair, and don't necessarily ever notice if guys wear them outside the state of Texas.

A) is it acceptable to have a pair of boots?

B) what occasions are boots acceptable?

According to Artofmanliness.com;

"For most men, it’s hard to see the point of a fancy Western boot. They’re expensive items, and unless you grew up around men who wore them, they seem more like novelty or costume pieces than anything stylish.

But a savvy dresser can think of a cowboy boot as an outfit’s holdout weapon. At a distance, it looks like a quality leather shoe. Up close, the distinct advantages start to show"

People tell me all the time that I look exactly like Matthew Mcconaughey. He wears Cowboy boots, can't I?

How about the Terminator, manly right?

What about the baddest baseball player of all time? Out or F-ing in?

what say you?

Have you ever heard someone say Something to the effect of putting their size (exes) up someone's ass?  Well,  it all started with "I'm going to put this boot up your ass! " And it wasn't a man in work boots.

My granddad was a man's man,  and a boxer,  and he had the same cowboy boots that he had re-soled for years.  He was surly and strong as hell,  and I know that anyone who would have questioned his manhood due to his boots would have literally been knocked and stomped. For True.

^That type of boot is all you need. Simple and not too pointy, shiny, or high heeled. Just some good old fashioned sh!tkickers. If you spend more than $150, you are probably getting into non-manly territory.
