You know I'm glad to see more and more people seeing that Jake is done. When I first got on here and started saying they needed to get rid of Jake, people started to cuss me out and told me I didn't know what I was saying...Now look everyone is saying what I said last season...Jake has got to go!... I told you!!

Congrats Nostradamus.....you want a cookie?

Delhomme folds under the pressure... its been known for years. He will do just fine when he's protected well. Arizona brought constant pressure and won. Eagles did the same thing... I do believe that Davidson deserved a lot of that blame. He failed to adjust to the constant pressure. (Same poo as Arizona game; you'd think he has a counterattack plan) Eagles blitzed none stop and it continued to work in their favor. Atlanta will do the same thing, its 100% guaranteed. We will win if offensive line holds and Delhomme have more than 3 seconds to pass.

Delhomme fault - making poor... just poor decisions.

I'm willing to give Jake another game or two get his game straight but if he does this again you have got to pull him and put Moore in the game. Maybe Matt isn't as experienced but that doesn't mean he's worse than Jake. The one thing that I notice whenever Matt gets in the game is that the offense changes. Instead of being anemic it becomes more consistent/balanced and we start converting 3rd downs. Every time he has come in and played he has provided a spark and this offense needs a spark!

Its a damn shame that we have to lose this way because we have an enormous amount of talent on this team and we shouldn't have to get killed because of bad game planning and an inconsistent QB.

I have been a Jake Supporter for years. But, I have to call that game like I saw it.

Jake's decision making under pressure has be atrocious. He is not seeing the field and is panicing under pressure.

However, I will lay equal blame for yesterday's performance where it belongs....on the Offensive Line. their pass blocking was God Awful. They could not pick up a blitz to save their lives.

Back to the drawing board this week. I am not ready to write off the season after one game....remember when the Patriots got smoked in the first game of the season in 2003? They were blown out 31-0 by the Bills, only to go on and win the Super Bowl.

Yesterday was painful, but as one commentator said.....it only counts as 1 loss.

OMG!!!!! I think Leftwich played better than Jake yesterday. speechless-smiley-040.gif

Now that's scary.

Does this forum have a "search" feature? I dont see it, maybe I'm overlooking it.

Anyway what I was wondering was if this forum did a "Rate the NFC South QB's". I think most forums did something like that.

After seeing stat lines from Brees, etc, it would be interesting to go back and read it now.

From Gantt quoting Delhomme

“They have the right to ask and the way I played today it might have looked that way,” he replied when asked if fans thought his confidence was shaken. “There is not something inside of me saying ‘Oh gosh, I can't make a mistake on this play.' That's not it at all. I'll be honest with you, the last pick I threw, if I was worried about making a mistake I'm going to check the ball down every play. It's very simple.

“You drop back and check the ball down and hope that you get first downs. It can make you feel good about yourself, but they will come with pressure. I had a one-on-one with Steve Smith on the go route, and I underthrew him. If my confidence is shaken, I'll be hitting the running back every single play when guys are running down the field.”

...Since when is it a bad thing to check down and gain a few yards.
