Thanks to all my fellow veterans, especially my father who was shot down over Germany in WWII , was a POW for 24 months. He is my hero .

thank you to all who remember veterans everyday, it wasn't always that way when I served.

I remember when I turned 18 and graduated High School I wanted to join the Army. I worked with a recruiter and after awhile he passed me on to MEPS who turned me down because of a heart condition I have. I wanted to serve overseas and was so destroyed when I found out I couldn't serve my country. Anyways, to those men and women who do, I have the most respect for you and you all are in my prayers everyday. Thank you!

I realize that I am lucky to have been born an American. I thank my lucky stars, or whoever is responsible, every day, mom & dad included. :)

Look up Sergeant Reckless. During the Battle of Outpost Vegas, Reckless worked without human guidance under fire from the Chinese. One of those "Omg, would've have never guessed that happened" stories worth discovering.
