If we are 10-0 and Falcons 6-5 going into Dallas, Should RR pull a Popovich?

Do you think there is even a small chance, in any universe, that Ron Rivera wouldn't play a healthy Cam Newton on the Panthers first ever nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game that literally the entire country watches going against America's Team, especially if we were 10-0 going into it?

People crap on you for some of your threads and most of the time they are assholes and its uncalled for.

But this is such an asinine idea, it can't even be considered a rational thought. It's so other-worldly absurd that you have to either be just searching for attention, or you have to be actually retarded for even entertaining the idea, both being sad and unfortunate.

I will continue to issue warnings to people that belittle you for no reason, but this idea that Rivera wouldn't play Cam in this scenario to rest him for something else is so ludicrous, it might just put me over the top to start handing out the tar and feathers myself.

May god have mercy on your soul young man.

We reeeaaaaaaaalllly need to bring the poo button back.

I get the rhythm and keeping momentum aspect but having almost a extra bye week for a lot of starters and 3 NFCs matchups after that, it wouldnt be a totally bad idea

It is a totally bad idea.  Do you lay awake at night thinking of stupid things to post?

I really don't see him resting anyone if we are undefeated and fighting for home field advantage (which will probably come down to the last couple of weeks).  Now if we have that sewed up by the start of week 14, then we try and get CAP some more reps,  or perhaps Simonson, Bersin and Norwood, but it's to early to be thinking about these things.

That would negate my God given right as an American to over-eat turkey and greenbean casserole, mix a bourbon drink (or 5) and watch my Pathers kick the everloving crap out of Dallas, whom I despise with a fierce hatred bordering on obsession.

Ron would never do that to me!

Since you are a new poster, you probably don't know about the annual huddle pie debate.  The real question is what kind of pie will you be eating on thanksgiving?  If you say chocolate, chess, or something similar......prepare yourself for a backlash of unheralded proportions.

I've seen cases where resting starters after a top seed was locked up came back to bite a team in the ass.

The only team I can remember doing that was the Colts with Manning. They usually rest their starters at the end of the season and the 1 season where they didn't rest any starters were the year they won the SuperBowl.

in 2009, they went 14-0 and had home field advantage and lost the final two games of the season. They went to the SuperBowl that year but lost to the Saints.
