Because Jeff Fisher thought he read that Welker inflicted many  concussions,  when it actually read Welker has been afflicted by many concussions.

Honest mistake though.

Nicks is hot garbage at this point in his career.

We brought him in last year in the offseason and he balked at a contract because he couldn't take the heat of being a go to receiver for our offense. Then he rode the pine in Indy as a 3rd/4th stringer collecting his paycheck.

He's a bum. Ted Ginn might not catch everything but at least he WANTS to play for us and stepped up to take over a leading receiver position when we needed him. Nicks can go kick rocks.

Its actually a good pickup for the Rams he fits their offensive perssonell. We need Rams to keep Seattle out and give Arizona a fit.

I don't really care about that, but...

" Welker worked out for the Rams early Monday morning along with veteran receivers Hakeem Nicks and Vincent Brown. After evaluating Welker's health, including his history of concussions, the Rams came to an agreement on a one-year deal with incentives with him early Monday evening."

Hakeem Nicks is still a free agent? Could't we sign him for an incentive-laden song right now? Our receivers are playing better, but worth a try, right?

Who would Nicks replace on the roster and field ??

Possibly Norwood if he's not panning out.

Maybe it stems from fantasy football. but I just don't get the whole idea that every WR that isn't a #1 is garbage. I'm not saying he'd be our #1, or even #3. But the guy has started before and wasn't bad. Most teams in the NFL stash about 6 WR's on the roster. That's 192 guys. I refuse to believe that he's worse than all of the #6's, even if you do take a veteran minimum salary into consideration.

Our only beef with him the first time was that he wanted too much loot. He may have changed his tune by now. Even if he hasn't, not sure what we'd lose working him out. But who knows, maybe heelin is right. Dropping Norwood might screw chemistry up.
