Question: Cam back to throwing off back foot

Cam had basically fixed this problem. The claim was that since the protection sucked last year, he was being swarmed and didn't have time to set his feet. No sacks yesterday (some pressures), but seemed to revert back to the bad mechanics again. Is this fixable or not? Is this part of the accuracy problems along with high throws?

He has a cannon arm and can still heave it fifty yards off his back foot, but a day will come when accuracy counts. He is not going to be twenty six forever and will have to rely on passing more then running later in his career.

Did you see Rodgers miss wide ass open throws?

It's just a product of how mobile he is. When he's moving around so much that naturally leads to less time stationary (the position where it's easier to properly set your feet) and when he's moving around and the window opens that he needs to pass the ball sometimes he doesn't have a chance to stop, properly position his feet, and make the pass. I'd rather he keeps what he's doing and throw the pass on time than take the time to stop and set his feet and be late on the throw.

A.R was being chased all day and nobody was open either. Missing passes was due to tight defense and pressure rather then bad mechanics. Apples and oranges. Rogers is a HOF qb that has top notch mechanics. I believe Rogers runs around a great deal also so the mobile aspect should not be a factor.

Panic early.

Panic often.

(P.S. 8-0)

No panic here...just asking a question and looking for some people with real football coaching experience. So just sweep questions that should be asked under the carpet and hope for the best down the road.

When you're right, you're right.

Cam throwing off of his back foot was the difference between winning and losing in all of our losses so far.

Yeah when we lose a game because Cam couldn't hit his short to intermediate routes, then let's criticize him. Until then, stop acting like a abused pet.

The staff knows he missed those throws. I assure you they are working with him on it. Cam's passing style is much like Farve's was. Yet Farve racked up the wins and no one criticizes him for his style now. Cam is beginning to rack up wins too and it's time we fans start letting the record do the talking

Yep so much this!

That deep ball to Funchess you could tell he got caught looking to take off and him realizing there was no where to run. So instead of taking the sack Cam dropped a dime 50 yards down field. Any other QB in this situation takes the sack but due to Cam's pure arm strength he's able to throw off his back foot like that.
