Darlington gives Panthers respect

Love this quote.  It's about time someone in the media just flat out said it.

Quote

Look, the banner situation isn't a big deal in itself. But it is symbolic to a broader point about this team: The Panthers literally get less respect, relative to their accomplishments, than any team in the NFL.

Just about to read the article, and will comment on that later but a quick comment about the banner issue.

SO TRUE.

While I hope the banner doesn't become a big flap which turns into a distraction for the team this week (I doubt the coaches will let that happen), I SO LOVE WHAT CAM DID!   It shows such attitude, such pride, such commitment to the team and the fans.  It shows a passion & hunger to go all out that I think is fueling this team's wins.

WOW.  The Panthers showed me something yesterday on so many levels.  It's really hard to hold in my excitement about this team and this season.

12 straight regular season victories, winners of 13 out of the last 14 games, 8-0 without their best WR and with key guys like Kuechly, CJ, Kalil, Norwell, and Cotchery all missing games... if this were the story for half of the league the media would be all over it. That said, I'll take being under the radar (though how an 8-0 team remains this under the radar is beyond me).

Great points.  No one invalidates NE's victories, or Green Bay's, or anyone else's.  We're just "not good enough" to be undefeated in the eyes of the media.  But you know what, that's fine.  We keep making plays, finding ways to win.  That will not be enough at some point.  At some point, we're going to lose, and that's fine.  On the flip side of things, I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

The Panthers' mantra of Keep Pounding is what our team is all about.  We will keep pounding.  We will keep hitting you as much as we need.  We won't stop until the game is over.  What a great time to be a Panther fan!

What's amazing is that we're 8-0 but still haven't played a complete game where we dominate 60 minutes.  We always have things to work on, yet we keep on winning!  So beautiful!  And these guys are humble enough to keep working.  I love it!

Exactly. Despite our injuries, despite the lack of a complete game...we just keep winning. This team expects to win each week.  The culture Rivera has built is paying huge dividends.  I love the fact the he is making the players report today...no day off...to fix things that need to be fixed.  He is not just going to reward wins.  He wants perfect execution.  I love it!
