Josh Norman on Fox NFL Sunday: "No reason top CBs shouldn't get paid like top QBs."

If he wants Cam money and thinks he is worth it then BYE PUNK!! Absolutely NONE of the db's who have "gotten paid" lately have been worth half of their contracts afterwards. And frankly, we need someone like him on this team but not for that sort of price. I'll take someone like he was last year, raw and eager, over an overpaid primadona every single day.

No doubt, there are at least a few organizations out there that will be willing to pay Norman more than he is worth to us.

However, blank check Hurney is long gone and gone for a reason.

Carolina is now being built for the long haul w/depth and players who have a strong sense of teamwork.

Nothing Norman has said lately suggests he really appreciates that approach more than getting a big payday.

Could just be a negotiating strategy, but if he is serious, expect him to get tagged next year while his replacement is drafted.

Id rather pay short and star reasonable money..

He has been the past 2 years. But lets be honest, he is probably the most mentally unstable person on that side of the ball? So I could see DG letting him go if that is what he wants. If he rather win he stays here. If he wants money he will go... I mean look at Cap Munn.... he got his name here from a great team defense and got paid and haven't really heard his name since. Money can you make you soft and complacent with some people..

Apparently some people have never watched a Josh Norman interview.  He just says what comes to mind without much of a filter or pre-thought.  The first thing that came to mind was probably "boy it sure would be nice to get QB money" and commented as such.  He knows he's not getting QB money.  He's also prone to what some would call "exaggeration".  Nothing about that comment suggests he (or his agent) will be unreasonable when it comes negotiation time.  He may price himself out of our range, or he may come to an agreement with Gettleman.  Only time will tell.

I think the Cap-Munn scenario is a warning of that he might walk to another than being a reason he should stay. Of course players want to win but when the big money is there not many turn away.....

OP should get his Testosterone/Estrogen ratio checked.  This dude stays sounding like a teenaged female in the throes of an extreme menstrual cycle.  Why the fug should we worry about next year when we haven't even handled this years business yet?  Stfu.
