we are in extremely good position for home field advantage first round bye in the playoffs every other team on the schedule absolutely beatable. Although I could see us giving away one or two of the divisional games, the saints and falcons are going to be highly motivated to knock us down.

fRom USATODAY's FTW column talking about how bad the Packers are right now...

With the exception of Carolina, there aren’t any good teams in the conference. It’s a handful of decent teams and a slew of mediocre ones. Given that the Panthers are hardly a sure thing in any home playoff matchup (the team is zero for its last two in hosting a divisional playoff game)...

Hey, we're the only good team in the conference!!!!!!!

So that pick the Packers threw near the end zone at the end of the game that had Cobb open was an illegal pick...right. I watched it on video several times and it looked illegsl, the only source I've heard mention that when talking about that play  was on an NFL network show. So what do you guys say, illegal?

Question

What makes vegas more money? The underdog? Or favored?

In an ideal situation, the same. The line is initially established based on who is actually favored to win. After that it is adjusted as bets come in, in order to get equal bets on each side. So, if too many bets come in for one team, they adjust the point spread up to draw more betters to the underdog, and vice versa. That way, once there is equal money on each side, one side pays the other, and Vegas keeps their 10(ish)%.

In all honesty I was more scared at the Indy game then this one. We couldve scored 47 points in this game if Graham made his fg and Cam didnt overthrow Greg. I thought our offense was clicking. You sort of have to expect good QBs to make a comeback but I think we get gassed in the 4th and dont push as hard and play more bend but dont break instead of looking to break.

    • From what I am seeing these are the locks for teams drafting in the top 10: 1. Ten - Cam Ward  2. Cle - Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter (it will be one of the two, so this close enough to a "lock") 4. NE - Will Campbell (it has been leaked that people in the building are claiming him as "our guy") 5. Jac - Mason Graham 7. Jets - Armand Membou (they want Graham, but he won't be there. Next guy on the board is Membou)   The real wild cards are the Giants and the Raiders. No one seems to know exactly what they want to do. I think if Hunter is there for NY they take him, but Carter is not a "need" for them, and they might entertain trades down, but anyone that wants to jump up to 3 would want a QB and that might be too rich for the return for most teams. Would someone trade up for Carter or Hunter? Maybe. But it would need to be a team on the verge of winning a championship to make that move seem logical. The Raiders could go any direction. They need help on both sides of the ball. They won't go QB because of the trade for Geno. With Pete Carroll at the helm, the logical thought is defensive back. Could Starks or Emmanwori go this high? Does Carroll like Will Johnson enough to pick him? Is Jeanty their guy? I think the Panthers spot at 8 has become very attractive. It isn't top 5, so it won't cost as much to trade up into it, and it is right above the Saints, who could be in the QB market, and the Bears, which have been heavily linked to Jeanty. I think if Jeanty is on the board at 8, Jerry Jones won't be able to help himself and will call us. Morgan will likely take the trade, add picks, and still get one of his top guys.
    • All I know is the track record of 1st round rookie Wr getting less than 500 yards in year 1 is very bleak. And mad because Bryce looks bad? I'm mad if a player in a panther jersey drops the ball. Don't get that argument...
    • Will say, I was watching clips and J Stewart was a nightmare for potential 1st round OT Ersery w/Minnesota.  Took care of that kid when they played.
