Biggest reason we need this win?

  1. 1. In your opinion, what is the biggest reason that the Panthers need to win tomorrow?

    • revenge for last season's loss
    • underdogs even though we're undefeated and playing a team that isnt
    • keep pace in the division with Atlanta still close behind
    • push our lead for homefield advantage to 2 games (3 with head-2-head)
    • solidify ourselves as the best team in the NFC
    • beat our win total from last season
    • guarantee we wont see a losing record this season
      0
    • chance to beat the franchise record for single-season win streak (8 games in 2013)
      0
    • remain undefeated (start 8-0 for the first time EVARRRRR)
    • because its the next game
    • other (please list in a comment)

Because it would be our first win against a team that is over .500.  That would shut up the rest of the haters still lingering out there.  (or at least most of them)

Confidence

Great points guys. it sure would be nice to shut up the haters for a few weeks. and we definitely need sober confidence going into the final 8 games of the season. the guys need to approach every game knowing they have the talent to kick the other team's teeth in, but they need to be all too aware that any team can surprise them on any given sunday. i figured everything would come hard for the Panthers this season. i knew that would make it that much more enjoyable, but also that much more worrisome/frustrating at times.

here's to hoping our Cats have a statement game tomorrow!

Honestly?! While a win is no doubt important, I don't think this game is as huge as people make it out to be. We still have the inside track on the 2nd seed, a playoff bye and a home playoff game. I don't fear playing in Lambeu in Jan. We are the kind of team that wins in those ugly, nasty conditions.

Honestly, I will be fine with either a 1st or 2nd seed.  it's when we start stringing together losses and start dipping into wild card territory when I would start to worry until then, even if we lose tomorrow I won't sweat it.

Also something to consider is if we beat Green Bay tomorrow there is a lot higher chance Green Bay would win in the playoffs and "avenge" the loss

I always fear this when playing good teams during the year. It's hard to beat a good team twice a year. I'll take the playoff win over regular season loss

1) i would rather have 2 playoff games in Charlotte than 1.

2) this game is hugely important because of all the reasons above. there are alot of implications to this game. to say otherwise is folly. the players may be approaching the game like its just the next game, but they know exactly what is riding on this game.

3) you arent going to start worrying until we "string together losses"? when we have a chance to be the best in our conference? craziness.

4) good teams dont worry about playing a team because they might take revenge. I assure you, it doesnt mean a hill of beans to the Packers that they creamed us last year. might mean alot to the Panthers, but Rodgers and Co. dont care. they arent scared.

Home Field advantage. A 3 game lead lead on the biggest challenger for HFA. I think the NFC west will beat each other up enough to fall below us and GB. Forget the East.

^^^^ this

Unless there's more Packer fans at the game tomorrow than Panther fans. That happening in the playoffs would be embarrassing.

I don't think this fanbase would let that happen. Last year? Perhaps. Not this year though. Our fanbase is coming into its own. I think 20 years from now, we'll look back as the beginning of the culture of our team.

Surely the legendary franchises took some time to take off in their home markets too. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Green Bay, Green Bay, Dallas, Oakland... no matter how those franchises are doing, you can always find their fans. But surely their was a point in their history when they didn't have the cult following they do now. We'll get there. Have faith Panther brethren...

It was discussed many times in the past. Been told a lot of the PSLs were bought by companies for purpose of re-selling the tickets to highest bidder, which is why I still hear the Huddle whining about how many opposing fans are always in BOA. It's at it's worst with Steeler, Patriots, and Packers in town.

Just relaying what I hear about the situation down here in FL
