Stewarts chances...

Being Williams has taken the lead over Davis with most Rushing TD's in a single season (Davis had 12 in 2005)...

What do you think the chances are of getting 3 more Rushing TD's out of Stewart to tie that, or 4+ to take the second spot in that list?

Technically as a backup and being a rookie to boot.

I think that'd be pretty dam cool!

what do you think?

In my opinion Stewart is the meat and potatoes back out of the two........he's got the moves but with Power........he just runs out of gas on longer runs......lol!

But that is a nice problem for a short yardage back to have.......hehe.

Mark my words...........Stewart will be the back that few teams prepare for in a such manner that it will come back to bite them............

stewart has never run out of gas.

the difference between williams and stewart is while williams will try to out run and dodge defenders, stewart makes contact with just about every defender that doesn't get picked up by a blocker.

obviously, that slows him down.

That could be a big advantage in NY on Sunday and during the playoffs. On a similar note, I know that Goings plays a lot on ST but I think bringing Birmingham in as a change of pace back and a guy no one has seen all season could also be one of those moves that could confuse defenses.

    • What are the matchups, stats and superlatives?   I think this will be a hard game. Bucs are a very balanced team on offense:  7th  in total yards per game, 7th in passing, 10th in rushing. Baker is having another career year even better than last year but despite missing his Godwin and Evans. Bucs defense is poor (29th) particularly passing defense, but we’re also depleted in our receiving with Coker and Sanders likely out. Running Chuba is key but their defense is better against the run. (16th) I think this is likely going to require us to score a lot of points to keep up and hopefully the home field advantage tips the scale in our favor. My other concern is our run defense and being able to stop their rookie study Bucky Irving who the Bucs have shifted more carries to recently and he’s averaging 5.4 ypc and knows how to get into the endzone with 5 TDs so far.
    • This is nonsense and you know it. People will be happy when we are consistently and convincingly winning games against good teams. There are people in here talking down to others after losses and barely beating the terrible NY Giants. If you want to strut around here like only you are a real Panthers fan and rage pooing posts because your jimmies are rustled then hey good luck with all that. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.
    • Who had the massive meltdown last year? Hope they feel better this year.
