My band does a set of 90's covers for when we play multiple sets, and our list is pretty banging.  If you're wondering why we do so many No Doubt covers, it's because we have a female lead singer that sounds kinda like Gwen Stefani haha.  I'm sure a I forgot a few this was just off the top of my head

Two Princes - Spin Doctors

Sex and Candy - Marcy Playground

Say It Ain't So - Weezer

Mary Jane's Last Dance - Tom Petty (Yes, this was a 90's song)

What's My Age Again - Blink 182

When I Come Around - Green Day

Save Tonight - Eagle Eye Cherry

Jumper - Third Eye Blind

Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind

Beer - Reel Big Fish

Fly - Sugar Ray

What I Got - Sublime

Santeria - Sublime

Spiderwebs - No Doubt

Different People - No Doubt

Just a Girl - No Doubt

Sunday Morning - No Doubt

Happy Now - No Doubt

Closing Time - Semisonic

Let's go ahead and change out those Sublime songs to 40 oz. to Freedom, and Badfish.

Listened to a lot of Sublime, Weezer, early Blink, Peppers, NOFX, Lagwagon, etc....

Those are good choices for Sublime, I just play what our singer and I know well usually.  We play originals too and covers take up a lot of valuable practice time to learn so playing songs we already know saves time.

I just get tired of hearing the "popular" covers after a while.  I could go without hearing Santeria and Under the Bridge ever again, and I love the Peppers and Sublime.

I really loved the Pixies, they fit right in with 90s music but most of their good stuff came out late 80s. You guys are naming tons of music I enjoy. Tracy Chapman Fast Cars, the message is powerful. In the 90s the music could be melancholy at times but it had some meaning to it. Most of it. Pop music right now feels mostly vane.

Round Here by Counting Crows was the best song of the 90's. Easily.

Weezer?  Third Eye Blind, Oasis, No Doubt and the grunge groups stand out.

I like a lot of the one hit wonders back then.

A song that i thought was super obscure that i really liked was i can't stop the rain by The Crush. Excellent song.

School of Fish and i think the song was 3 days or something like that. Cool tune.
