I didn't see much of him because  the steelers are deep at wr/rb . Hes basically a younger fozzy thats more athletic and he has more upside. Dont lie mr scott you would be hyped if we got him

Not really.

Like Bartin said, I could see giving him a shot at thepractice squad, but that's about it.

Don't even try with him, he was seriously against every free agent wide receiver signing with us this off season.

Fozzy seems to be scared s**tless of running the ball out on KR, so getting Archer would be an upgrade from what we have now. Steelers didn't even give him touches.

As someone who is a Steeler fan, as well as Panther fan, Archer is horrible. They tried to get him involved last year, and to say his speed does not translate to an NFL field is an understatement. Can't return punts. No vision or instincts. Even on KORs, he can only run straight. Any sort of cut, and he's useless. Team's just don't admit a mistake like this, unless the player has nothing positive to offer at all. That's where Archer is right now.

Wut

I've been a Steelers fan for my whole life. Grew up in Pittsburgh in the 1970s. So that's not going away. I guess I'm a "Cam bandwagon" fan. As an Auburn grad, I wanted Cam to succeed, and for a QB, that doesn't happen without team success. So I got really into the Panthers after they took Cam. I loved how they showed confidence in him and took him #1 despite everyone saying he would bust.

Once I started following the Panthers, I sort of got hooked. And since they were coming off a 1-15 season, and those 1st two years were subpar, I wasn't just trying to ride a winner. Gradually, I was way more invested in the Panthers and the Steelers became sort of a second fiddle for me. I know some folks would still question my true "fandom" and call me a "bandwagon" fan, and I can understand that. But for me to care about a team more than the Steelers, is something I never thought possible.

Hes pretty bad. We have Byrd who is above and beyond better. Guy could be a top guy in the Olympics. Crazy quick on grass. Josh Norman him self said he can't even touch him.

But what do we do? We will use Funch 5 snaps a game.. Cotch Ginn and Brown. Even though 4 qtrs is HOURS of football we don't use our depth over a long gruling season

All free agents?  Nah.

I do, however, actually take the time to check out why somebody was cut and how they were performing rather than just popping off and saying "Hey, I remember them being good three years ago!  Let's do whatever we have to and sign them now!!!"

Just because you've heard of them doesn't make them great.

I remember when this clown was dubbed the next coming of Christ.

Some folks think being really fast automatically makes someone a good football player.

Not quite true.

As I recall, somebody did an analysis a while back showing that the fastest players at the combine as often as not were busts in the NFL. It was generally because while they had speed to spare, their football skills were lacking.

From what I've been reading, I'd guess that's the case with Archer.
