Mike Shula is your Offensive Coordinator of the year according to S.I.

No. That is not at all what was said. On 70% of the plays Shula sends out a formation and a couple of different plays and lets Cam read the defense and decide which play will work best against what he sees. Also, it was Shula that designed that offense for him and we are on an 11 game winning streak while using it.

i think what you meant to say was that we started our 11 game winning streak when shula started to be less involved with the offensive playcalling

Or that we are on an 11 game winning streak when running the offense Shula designed.

When Shula and Rivera decided against sending in the play with 5 seconds left and instead giving Cam the option to change the play at the line based on what the defense was showing, the offense has performed much much better.

There isn't the "Shula pulling a play out of a hat" mentality anymore. This is Cam's offense. Cam is making Shula into a viable offensive coach. Shula deserves some credit for not fugging up with one of the most talented QB's in the league. Props for that.

Add that personnel started to match what was designed as well.  Last year when we started the streak, Stew got healthy, we found Remmers, Bell came back (for whatever that was worth), Philly got healthy and provided the deep threat, Norwell and Turner started at guard and played well, Tolbert was finally healthy, and last but not least Cam was over his cracked ribs and busted ankle (albeit he did have the car accident, but that didn't take away his mobility like the ankle did).  I have hated on Shula as much as anyone, and still am not a fan of certain things he does, but he does have the personnel to do what he wants and it's starting to take shape on the field.  His offense does help our defense a lot too by keeping them off the field and giving Mcdermott time to adjust.

shula designed the offense we were running during that 6 game losing streak as well. when his grip lightened, we started winning.

I feel about the same. He's not perfect, but he is doing exactly what the team and Cam need him to do.
